Best hotel we have ever stayed at. Helpful courteous staff, lovely rooms, amazing pool and the kids club is unbelievably good. The entertainments team - The Rock Agents - keep young and old occupied and put a wonderful activities programme without disturbi...

We are going back to the Dusit again in June 2008, this is our 4th time staying at the Dusit, absolutely fantastic, they take so much care of you, you feel like royalty.

We did go out into Pattaya main centre probably 8 nights out of our 11 night stay. The first night I did get a shock as the prostitution is very in your face. Young girls picking up old/young men (mostly old grandads with knee length white socks and varicose veins - urghhh!). It is an eye opener, I must have led a sheltered life because I didnt really realise it was this way in Thailand. Nobody warned me. I must have sat the first night with my eyes on storks cos I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Gorgeous young 16 year old girls but I accepted this was their way of life and this is just how it is. Once I got used to that, I used to love going down the main street. The Thai people are the most friendly people you will ever meet and go way out of their way to make sure you are enjoying your holiday. The bars and restaurants are lovely and the food is divine. We went to a lovely American style Steak House which was very near Dusit Resort, if you come out hotel, turn right and walk to end of the road where you meet the beach and its on the left. There is an Italian near the steak house (cant remember name) - was very over priced with minuscule portions, wouldnt recommend. There is a German restaurant along main street called Hofmeister or something, is a bar/restaurant, food is the best we ate there. Theres a nice restaurant called Lobster Pot too near Walking Street. Go up Walking Street, its where EVERYTHING goes on, there are some good bars, its not frightning at all.
We had a fabulous time at our stay in Dusit resort, pattaya. The hotel is gorgeous. Has a fab reception with a huge clockdial in marble in the centre of the hotel lobby area, its impressive. There are tree's, plants and little waterfall in reception also a...
