"HOTEL PHENICIA"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel is lovely and the staff are excellent. I do think that they need to have some sort of leaflet showing facilities, locations we found things on the last day. Also we booked on line and it doesn't show the need for long trousers in all the restaurants in the evening. This definitely needs to be clearer. I would defiitely recommed this hotel and hope to return again. The choices of activities during the day was very good, something for everyone.

"phenicia"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Apart from a very rude receptionist (who we met on our first hour in the hotel) we had a fantastic holiday here. The entertainment staff are brilliant and are what make this hotel so good, they work so hard at making you happy. The one problem we had was that there was no fizzy drinks at all. I complained to the rep and nothing done so had two week of flat drinks apart fro the ones i had to buy outside the hotel. Food was a bit repetitive but what was on offer was nice. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean.

"5* hotel!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
As my first 'real' holiday, Hotel phenicia was breathtaking. Everyone there were so nice and polite and even walking from the dinning room to your room was a conversational time! All the animation team were really friendly and made sure everything in your stay was wonderful. I never wanted to leave! The food was great and there was so much to choose from, we stayed for 2 weeks and had something different every day. The hotel staff in general were extremely helpful and as we went all inclusive the only things we really used money for were souvenirs and tips! It is an extremely relaxing place where you can choose what you want to do day in day out. We fell in love with archery and ended up doing it every day. The only thing I can pinpoint as not so good were the 'hawkers' selling jewelery and other such trinkets on the beach. Some wouldnt take no for an answer but we found if you were firm the would evetuallly just leave you alone. It rained a few times whilst we were there but even the rain was warm and the sun prevailed for most of our stay. The kids facilities were excellant and I think the 6 year old learnt more arabic/frarabic then the rest of us did! The evening entertainment was wonderful andall the animation team tried there hardest to include the audience as much as possible. me and my sister ended up dancing there hotel phenicia dance every night! We didnt leave the hotel much at all as we found all our holiday needs were right there, but we did go on a camel ride that was really fun but the owners did try to get as much money from you as possible. It was still a wonderful experiance and how many times do you get to ride a camel in your life? There was always activities to do and lots of new friends to make and overall hotel phenicia was an excellent place. 5* all the way!

"Amazing first experience in Tunisia"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We came here on our honeymoon, a very clean and fresh feeling hotel. All staff will assume you speak French until you chat to them in English I thought, but they immediately chatted back in English. Very friendly, lots in the area to do as it was very close to shops and cafes. A wonderful pool area and a lovely bar area. There was evening entertainment but we didn't go to anything as we were exhausted by the end of the day with exploring most of the time! Wonderful food, great tasting, so fresh and whilst they had items that us Brits are very much accustomed to, there were also foods traditional to Tunisia so it was great to sample their cuisine too.

"Food was amazing!"
Overall Hotel Rating:
First impressions of this hotel was how nice it was although very good we were worried how they were going to fit us all in! The best thing about this hotel was the fresh food it was lovely, the worst bit was our room was situated right above the disco hall so we could hear 'thriller' banging out all night!

"first holiday in tunisia"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Hotel looked a bit tired, but it has just been taken over and decorating was beginning as we left. Clean comfortable rooms, good friendly service throughout the hotel. Very large entrance area which included reception, bars, computer area and lounge - all without any dividing walls and as a result the noise spread everywhere and it often became difficult to have a conversation.

"Great holiday"
Overall Hotel Rating:
this hotel was really good and well worth the bargain price we paid.
the all inclusive food is really nice and there is always plenty of choice. at lunch time there is a choice of restaurants.
you can pay for an al a carte meal but we didn't bother, the all inclusive stuff was too good!
entertainment is the usual all inclusive hotel type. you can make your own entertainment with other holiday makers, we had lots of fun with everyone we met.
the pools and beach were excellent and very clean/well maintained.
the room wasn't the best i have had but you don't spend all your time in there on holiday anyway - if you do you're doing it wrong!
the only down side for me was the long drive from the airport.

"Mega"
Overall Hotel Rating:
The Phenicia is BRILLIANT. We have stayed in loads of 4-5 Star All Inclusive hotels in lots of different countries and I have to say this is one of if not the best I have stayed at. Recommend if you are like me the sort who just wants a nice all inclusive resort and doesnt really care where it is, to chill out for a week or two. The place seems to be very relaxed, the entertanment team dont hassle you to join in on stuff if you dont want to. The service is outstanding, especially if you leave a small tip, to the point where once your drink is a third full it gets refilled. Situated directly on a private stretch of beach which is extremely clean and tidy compared to some other parts of the beach. About a 2 mile walk into Hammamet. Food is MEGA, even my 7 year old ate something different every night which is rare!!! Weather for the end of October was really good, a lot better than we have experienced in Turkey at this time of year. Tunisia is a VERY poor country, so if you have never been to a third world counrty before you may be in for a bit of a culture shock at first. We went on an excursion called the Sahara Explorer and I HIGHLY recommend. It is over two days which you may think is a large chunk of your weeks stay( like I did) but honestly really is worth it to see some of Tunisia. Costs approx £90 each adult, £45 each child, includes all meals and accomodation in a very nice 5 star hotel on the edge of the Sahara desert in Douz. The only extra cost is £12.50 for an hour long camel ride in the Sahara to collect some sand, dressing up in a traditional outfit costs just an extra £1. Book this hotel and trip, you will not be disappointed.

"Hotel Iberostar Phenicia"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is an excellent hotel to stay in whilst on holiday in Tunisia. We have stayed several times always trying different hotels and this has been the best by far. The pool areas are well kept and clean, the room was given a thorough daily clean and the main part of the hotel was tidy. The food is this hotel is varied and plentiful - we were all inclusive but found different dishes were out every night and we couldn't fault it at all. The staff were always friendly, nothing is too much trouble and the waiters soon remember what you like to drink. We gave a small tip every day and found everyone courteous. This was our first holiday without any kids and it was everything we hoped for - relaxing, hot weather and decent accomodation. I would recommend this hotel and we intend to go back in a couple of years time. I couldn't fault the hotel, staff or food at all - try it and I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

This hotel was excellent for a one week all inclusive holiday. the food was really good and the pancakes served in the afternoon are amazing!!
the hotel is a long way from the airport. be prepared for a two hours drive. i found this to be a pain and was wishing i hadn't booked this hotel. when we arrived i changed my mind - myself and my partner both loved this hotel and would go back.

"Great Winter Break"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I have not long returned from a third stay at this hotel. I have no idea what it is like in the summer but if you are looking for a chilled out winter break, ideal. The staff cannot do enough for you and remember you from a previous visit. If you are on an all inclusive option if you tip, you will never have to leave your seat, lazy I know. Their is a good selection of food in the restaurant and you have the same drinks waiter and table throughout your stay. If you can afford it upgrade to a seaview room, well worth the little extra that it will cost.

"Very Nice Hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is a very good hotel if you only want a hotel based holiday. Clean rooms, good food for lunch and dinner, continental choice for breakfast. About 90% of staff are very good especially if you tip. Worth going all inclusive as there are bars only a taxi drive away. If you venture out to the shops you Will get hassled. There are building works right next door and also decorating rooms in the hotel.
