Hotel Rosa Beach Reviews

Our first impression of the Rosa Beach was how tastefully it was decorated. It really is a beautiful hotel.

The rooms were perfectly clean and we were plesantly surprised that we were allocated 2 rooms both with a sea view although we had only paid for an inland view. The food was plentiful and the pancakes at breakfast were cooked while you wait (lovely). The pool area was lovely and clean.

We were on half board so were obliged to eat at the beach bar at lunch time, that was the first rip off. The food there was terrible and overpriced.

Skanes is in between Monastir and Sousse, with nothing around the hotels, no tourist shops or resturants, we think that is how the hotels want to keep it as they have a monopoly on how you spend your money. You are not allowed to take any food or drink into the hotel and the gate-man prods your shopping bags to feel for bottles (we told him it was our money that paid for our goods and walked away - he just accepted that and left us alone).

The animation staff worked their socks off. What they lacked in talent was compensated by enthusiasm. Everything they did was translated into 5 different languages. Other than the 'night club' - soundproofed - everyone seemed to go to bed before 10pm.

This is not a young persons' holiday place, but once again I must say the hotel was exceptionally nice.
