Very dirty and eldest daughter (age 15) always pestered by young men when left resort - like bodyguards. Try the tuc tuc to get about - good fun.

Sousse is a lovely resort. Plenty of places to visit. It is a very busy place but the locals are friendly. The medina is great for shopping. You'll spend most of your time saying no thank you but you get used to it! There are also some good shopping centres and plenty of great restaurants. A great place to visit for everyone.

Good for one week, maybe not enough to do for a two week holiday! We did all the beach activities and they were all fantastic, the Quad biking is great too and all worth the money! The boat trip I wouldn’t rate highly as its not worth the money that we paid!

Not quite what we were lead to believe from the other attached reviews but we didn't let it put us off. My girlfriend and I spent 10 days at this hotel returning on 17/06/09. The staff couldnt have been more friendly and helpful,the room and view could not have been better and the food was plentiful and good quality. Please ignore the other 'whinging' comments. The hotel is massive and right on the gorgeous beach. The lifeguard on the beach will fetch you the sunbeds from the pile which prevents others reserving them.Give him a dinar tip if you want and they will look after you for the whole of your holiday(it's only 50p!) There is plenty of shade from umbrellas and awnings if you want it - most do as it is incredibly hot. The colour of the sea and temperature is fantastic. You will get used to the whistling from the parasail operators and the beach sellers trying to sell you hats etc. Do try the smoothies from the hotel barman who shouts 'vitamins'. These are excellent and about 4 - dinar. The prices everywhere are reaonable but make sure you haggle with the taxis. If you can, get a tuk tuk as they are fixed price and very good value - and fun. The restaurant is self service except for beer ets that you will need to order and pay for. the food is hot and changes everyday. Plenty to chose from and remember you are not at butlins! get stuck in and dont moan. Watch the Russians though, they never smile and are very rude. Just give them the contempt they deseve and laugh at them. The rooms are cleaned daily and are spacious and although slightly outdated, are very sevicable and comfotable. Tip the staff if you want to and they will look after you. The town of sousse is a 3 dinar taxi ride away. The medina is great but be ready for the hard sell. Overall, a very enjoyable holiday and i would return. You will always get people that complain about everything and have faces like a slapped gluteus maximus. There is no reason not to have a good time and if you fail to, it wont be the fault of the hotel staff, the animation team or other Tunisians - it will be your fault!

Fantastic beach and the people are very friendly.

Be careful of the taxi drivers as they will try to charge triple what the taxi should cost. I recommend getting a price before you travel!

We were half board so didn't eat out much, but everywhere is cheap.

Sousse was at times overbearing in the Medina but that is their way of life so don't take it too seriously. They are all sweetness when they have your attention but do not like being ignored or saying no to buying from them. Do not be talked into going into shops, they promise you the world but get nasty is you don't want to buy. Interesting places to see around the area El Jem is a must.

food very repetitive,not very clean, very run down,just very untidy, satff not very freidnly, overall a disaster and i would not go back there, spoke to other people there that were very unhappy as well.

Sousse is a nice little town, and the market is well worth a visit (but make sure you check prices in your hotel shop first, and be fiesty - most tourists were paying at least 10 times what they should have done for things like pottery, chicha, etc). However, it's mainly a place for people who want to lie around by the pool or on th ebeach. If you want to travel and see stuff, use Sousse as a base for your first night then head south to Douz, Touzeur, or somewhere else.

ciudad ajetreada divertida y con mucha vida...puedes divertirte mucho sin salir de ella. la medina es de las mas agobiantes que vimos durente el viaje, pero al 2º dia se te pasa el susto y puedes hacer buenas compras.

Fabby!!! There is plenty of things to do and paces to go out for a bite to eat or a drink. You can also do a bit of shopping for the folks back home. Sousse is very traditional and a lovely place.

really like the place

I did not like this resort at all. We walked out from the hotel along a busy road to get into the main resort and it resembled a bomb site. The shops are not vey good and there are no nice bars along a seafront to sit and while away the time. some of the bars are in shopping centres. I would say this is a resort for older people who just want some sun and want to stay in the hotel for much of the time

Hotel does not have huge amount around it - have to get local (cheap) transport to Port el Kantoui or Sousse. Beach is average - sand is nice but not cleaned on a regular basis.
