Overall Resort Rating:

We were impressed with Sousse and would go back. It is just like any other Med resort really, all the kind of restaurants and bars you expect but it is a fair bit cheaper than Greece/Cyprus.

Lovely place. except for jelly fish. people need to be forewarned.Beautiful beach.The waiters on the beach are lovely and there is a nice little cafe which is reasonable.there area lot of sellers on the beach. they do not badger you if you say no thank-you they leave you alone. there are a lot of water sports reasonable price.

Sousse was a good resort, first time in Tunisia but because of that place can see us going back every year, the new Spain! It was pretty cheap really, took as much cash as we would when we visit Spain but bought much more and still changed a whole load back!

The resort of Sousse is easily located and the town is busy with a large walled market and is fun when you walk through and try to barter with all the shop owners, lively experience, must haggle to get good deals. The resort is suitable for all ages, as you can partake in all the watersports or walk, drive. lots of cafes and restaurants, everyone so helpful and talkative, friendly. lots of local shops and bazaars. well recommended

Excellent Medina if you don,t mind the hassle, handy for trips out to Monastir and El Jem by train, Port El Kantoui by foot or Tuk Tuk ! Watch out for muggings --my friend had her bag snatched

Avoid the market if you don't like being pestered and all the haggling. Prepare yourself for every taxi offering a fare to you, the can't believe people want to walk.

Sousse is an ok place, but it is really cheap in the resort compared to other places we have been. It is really different to Europe though, even though it is not too far away. The desert trip was great, but really hot!

Sousse is great for shopping but always have your wits about you. A firm "no" will often get local traders off your back - they are quite persistant and will often start by asking you where you are from etc

"Great value shopping"

We were all inclusive which I think was the best choice for this area. Shopping was very good value. The only problem being some shop keepers did their best to drag you into their shop and show you their bargains ! It was good value to travel by tuk tuk or horse and carriage with a short carriage ride costing about £5 or £6 with a tip ! Drivers were also a lot more friendly than taxi drivers even taking photo's of us or letting our son sit up front with them.

Sousse itself is lovely with a lovely medhina and souks, but the hassle you get going round the resort makes you wished you had taken bodyguards. My 10 year old daughter was terrified of the constant grabbing and then the young boys would laught at you and intimidate you if you didnt buy anything in their shops. Quite shocking behaviour not for children.
