The only downfall was that my son's mobile phone went missing from our room whilst we were out. Therefore make sure that your valuables are locked in your safety deposit box.
The desert trip was a definite 'DO NOT MISS'. Especially the Red Lizard Train journey. Our tour guide, with Saphire Tours, bus number 38, on this 3 day excursion was brilliant, his knowledge was exceptional. Our coach driver was good. The hotels we stayed in on the 2 nights could not be faulted in any way.
Also a trip to Madhia on the metro from Sousse was well worth trying.
Be prepared to haggle hard in the medina. Be a price maker not a price taker!
Tunisia's beaches could have been cleaner!
Try the old Turkish (Moorish) baths in Sousse medina, the real thing, not a hotel copy. A massage that will discover muscles you never knew you had!! All for just 5 dinars!

The hotel itself was spotlessly clean, there was an endless supply of hot water, rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. All the staff were helpful and very friendly. There is a nice, clean pool and a sunbathing terrace where beds are handed out to you as you arrive so there's rarely a case of all the best spots being claimed before breakfast. If you'd rather visit the beach it's within walking distance. There was a good choice of food for every meal as well as basic cooking facilities and a fridge in the room.
It's hard to understand why this hotel is a 2 star, there were 'officials' visiting during our stay so hopefully they will be upgraded to a more suitable rating.
If I had any complaints about the holiday it would be with the airline, Nouvelle Air, we had a five hour delay going and over two hours delay coming home.

As a 17 year old female i was a bit apprehensive of going to tunisia after reading some of the reviews about the males in tunisia, and yes you will be stared at and have comments made at you but i in no way felt threatned by any men and would often wonder down to the beach on my own. if you do not stop and jus look straight on the men will not do anything and will often jus carry on doing what they were doing.
the hotel itself is very clean and all the staff are very friendly and helpfull. the entertainment is ok however dont expect it to start at the time it says as in tunisia this rarely happens, however oncce it did start it was usully good and there was a range of activities such as traditional belly dancing. snake charming and a chareoke.
As for going on trips in tunisia we took a 4 day trip to the sahara where we visited the star wars set, an oasis and even took a camal ride at sunrise into the dessert. Although this trip was good i would not recomend it for families with young children as it gets extremly hot and is very tiring especially with the 5 o clock morning starts.
All in all i thought that my trip to tunisia was exellent and my family and i are seriously considering going back next year and to the same hotel. all i will say is that if you are going to tunisia go with and open mind and also a bit of sense of humour and youl be fine.
