Just returned from the Chich khan hotel very dissapointed as this is clearly not a 4 star hotel. The food was rubbish and the same everyday in the main dinning area, could not even eat at the pool bar as all food covered in flies. The beach bar no better looked like it has seen better days and you also have to pay for your drinks there which i thought a rip off as the hotel is all inclusive.Air conditioning very poor throughout the hotel and rooms not very pleasent when the temp was 30 degress at night.Maid servive poor stayed for 10 days and only 4 times was our room cleaned throughout. All 4 of our party got upset stomaches which we believe was down to the food and we were not the only ones many more people complaning thay felt unwell. After the 5th day thinking things were going to improve which thay didnt we compalained to the Thomos cook rep we had to fill a report out and was told to write in when we returnred to the u.k while doing this we found out many others had also complained about the same issues as us and some of the guests where even moved to another Hotel. There were a few good points the hotel was very nice huge place which you could get lost in the pool was great very big and never very crowded.Good waiter service never had to go to the bar even round the pool your drinks where brought over to you.
Overall a real let down this was my 4th time in tunisia and my previous holidays have been excellent was expecting good things being a 4 star and a ibeostar hotel. The hotel looks good but thats about it very boring with very little to do despite what the brochure might say.
Beach not very nice had some sort of oil slick going on which made it very unpleasent and a bit smelly.Harbour o.k some great looking boats nothing eles there apart from a few restarunts.Lots of shops in walking distance but all sold the same sort of things...

Just returned from spending two weeks at this Hotel and I am happy to say that this is the best All Inclusive holiday that we have had. The staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The hotel was spotless, and the rooms were big.
We are even trying at this moment to get booked up again for next year this time taking our two sons, my son's wife and our two grandchildren.
I would highly recommend this hotel to young and old alike.

Bit of a long transfer from airport but a new one is being built about 3/4 hour from resort due to open next year. first impressions when you enter the reception area are wow, this is impressive and the check-in is very efficiant with the porters taking your bags to your rooms (try to change up some money before you leave airport as we had no local currency at that point and couldn't give any tip, they are happy just with a dinar or 2. The hotel couldn't change up any money until later in the afternoon. The room was light and airy and quite large on ground floor near swimming pool in annexe building with a scrubby garden rather than balcony, but hadn't finished being cleaned when we arrived, and had a water pipe in a service cupboard behind the bathroom that fed the whole block and sounded like a hydrant permenantly gushing water at high pressure. I lasted a night with this and then asked for a different room the next day which was arranged with no hassle into the main building. The next room was really nice with good views / balcony but couldn't get the TV to tune in, although didn't miss it at all. The staff couldn't do enough for you at any time, and the animation team were very good as long as you interacted with them. If you weren't interested they wouldn't hassle you at all, but watch out for "sabotage" around the pool area. This is when someone gets chucked in whether they like it or not.The pool attendant will bring you cushions to go on the sunbeds (free) for a bit more comfort and there wasn't too much problem getting beds as long as you put a towel out by 9 to 10am. The pool area was good with lots of shady trees around and the bar opens all day with a good choice of food at lunchtimes, or you can go into the main restuarant to get a break from the sun. The evening entertainment was varied and so-so. We had no probs with food, always a good choice, with something for everyone's tastes (you would have to be very fussy to not like anything on offer) there was always lots of fresh salad, hot pizza and a grilltable. (omelettes cooked in front of you for breakfast) If all-inclusive, then all your drinks including cocktails were included. The only money apart from a few tips that I spent in hotel was 25dinar on a back massage in the hotel spa. There is a nice relaxed atmospere in the hotel, although might be different when lots of kids are there, all in all a very relaxing holiday that was a bit different from your normal med beach holiday
The resort is only 7 years old and still needs a few finishing touches but there is a lovely line of restaurants by the harbour. It is a very pretty area. The clean beach is next to a wide promenade, very flat but not quite paved properly with holes for str...

The Chich Khan was our first hotel abroad and we are now reluctant to try anywhere else in case we are disappointed, mainly because nearly everybody we spoke to on our stay said it would take a lot to beat the staff who bent over backwards to make you feel special to the facilities and food both of which where fantastic.
Although we did not eat out or sample the night life hence 3 average scores our beach rating is lower because we found the sand a bit course but the resort was a lovely place and we would strongly recommend the excursions we had great fun quading and spent...

This was a bit of a mixed bag hotel with many excellent aspects and many that have me already sending complaints to iberostar, the hotel and my holiday company (for the first time ever!).
The overall accomodation was good - the room was spacious and very clean. Although when it says all rooms have a balcony or terrace dont believe it - i had a window! Also, the shower was a nuisence and the shower holder does not hold the shower! However, the corridors felt like somethign out of a horro film with no windows, long winding corridors that were poorly lit.
The reception area and public areas of the hotel were all clean and certainly rather attractive with lots of space.
The food was....rubbish - alot of it was tunisian, which is ok, but alot of their cuisine can be unapptising (especially considering they cant serve pork and beef is a rarity). Also, the food was very repetative and lunch was the same everyday. Food was badly covered and hygiene practice was HURRENDOUS - Environmental Health would have swarmed the place had it been britain. Glasses didnt even get washed with soap - just a rinse with water.
The rep sue was fantastic - a lovely lady who really tried her best to solve all our problems and make sure that our holiday run smoothly. She had plenty of energy and always enough time for a holiday chat with her guests!
The staff in the hotel are generally polite and wonderful although one or two did have some difficulties and it could be rather annoying when reception told you something of yours hadnt been seen yet another guests saw them pick it up to be collected!?
Speakign of staff - the entertainer 'Nino' had several complaints against him and i am aware several people in our hotel are making complaints. Our rep, Sue, had had several words with nino, who could be immature, rude and rather ";too familiar";. He also pushed a few too many peopel in the pool including people with towels, ipods and brand new jeans (as occurred with my friends).
There was always plenty to do during the day but a night time was DEADLY!!!! The ";entertainment"; finished at about 10pm (although the entertainment was rarely spoken due to large numbers of languages and was rather dealy as people around the pool looked singularly unimpressed!) and after it finished there was nothing to do and after meeting many friends, we all wanted something to do apart from sit in a bar. There was a disco but only people over 18 could go so that basically left us all stuck - thankfully we'd packed ipods etc but made the hotel rather dull - NOT a place for the 12 - 17 age group.
All in all, the families we met made it a good holiday and the tunisian people are generally friendly. However, it will take some convincing to get me in the Chich Khan again!
