Hotel Green Golf Reviews

First holiday in Tunisia - glad we chose Hammmamet Yasime - although a purpose-built resort we loved it and will go
back! There were little trains(different colours depending where you want to go to) which were great to see the resort. Also horse-drawn carriages which were great too!
The medina is a ";must see"; although purpose built it is very impressive with lots to see and experience - shopping fantastic - although the shopkeepers hassle you to go into their shop - and won't let you out!!!

We stayed in the Green Golf Hotel on a half-board basis - although only a 3 star was really comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Every member of staff I met was very friendly, helpful and courteous. Waiters exceptional!! especially Afif and Mohamed. Rooms were very roomy and clean with good-sized balconies. The pool and garden area was fantastic - plenty of room and sun loungers. The only down-side was the Green Golf Beach - sun loungers without cushions and no toilet facilities - not very plentiful anywhere on the beach!

The Brits were out-numbered by Tunsian and Algerian holidaymakers who were also very friendly - it only takes a smile or ";Bon Jour"; and the ice is well and truly broken! The entertainment was really a one-man band so to speak his name is Bilek and he goes out of his way to please everyone! Tunisians and Brits joined in every night!!

The food was mostly Tunisian - plenty of variety and they tried very hard to please the english pallat (but there again you can't please everyone all of the time!) There were Brits who moaned about the food and went out to an English restaurant/bar for ";fry-ups"; and english roast dinners. Why go on holiday to a foreign country when all you want to eat is english food! Butlins were be a better holiday venue for them surely! We tried everything on offer and enjoyed every meal - did not eat out once!

We would definitely go back to The Green Golf Hotel in Hammemt Yasmine.

HOTEL : STAFF - Helpful and pleasant.
ROOMS - Pleasant enough for purpose, however bathrooms fittings were a little ";tired"; and in need of updating as was air-con units.Whilst rooms were cleaned daily,regime needed a little fine tuning as dusty floors were only mopped and bedside matting was NEVER changed / cleaned!
BUFFET RESTAURANT - Pleasantly decorated.
FOOD - DIABOLICAL for western palettes ( particularly HOT options ) - NO CHOICE for children.
OUT DOOR POOL - EXCELLENT , however daily musical offerings were somewhat on the loud side.
GARDENS - Always kept clean/tidy. Just beyond North and Western perimeters, building work was taking place, on one night until atleast 2:30am !!!!!
ENTERTAINMENT - Despite what was advertised in holiday brochures and in hotel lobby no activities took place for the 10 day period of our stay. The one night we tried to play bingo, it was cancelled because only 6 people turned up.
RESORT - Plenty of shops ( beware of the continual harassment from staff to enter / purchase goods ).
EATING OUT - Lots of impressive looking places ( despite poor food options at hotel -HB basis- no outside locations visited )
MARKET DAY -NABEUL- beware PICK-POCKETS
