The Adora Golf Resort, is a very good hotel and we had a great holiday.
Rooms - The rooms are better in the main part of the hotel, the views are brilliant. The Club rooms are much smaller and do not have beach and pool views.
Food - The food is excellent in the buffet restaurant. They had ";Special evenings"; while we were there, which were an amazing fish night and also a Turkish night. We only ate in the Chinese of the 4 other restuarants and that was pretty poor.
Entertainment - was good and was mainly done by the resident ";Entertainment team";, who are a good bunch of people who keep you entertained all day. The swimming pool is very large and they also have a ";slide area"; which is seperate from the pools, which is great for the kids.
General - The guests staying at the hotel are predominantly Russians, with a few Germans and English. I had read reports elsewhere that stated the Russians were rude and just push in e.t.c.
We spent a lot of time at the bars...and did not really see this at all. The Russians do not tend to talk to you as not many of them speak english, but some attempt to be friendly. Bearing in mind this was an August holiday when the hotel was full, we never had any problems at all in getting sunbeds by the pool. You could come down anytime of the day and get some, you dont see people putting towels on beds like you do elsewhere. The private beach is literally metres from the hotel aswell, so you had a good choice of pool or beach and again there were always at least half the beds on the beach free each day. Generally all bars were good, you never wait more than 1 minute to be served and there appear to be no limits as to what you can and cannot have. You can even have Champagne! The staff do not speak much english, but again some try and they really appreciate english manners.
Local area - The town of Kadriye is very small and is just a few streets made up with shops selling clothes and jewelery, but we went a few times, just to break up the day. Catch the train (its really a noddy train driven by a tractor), dont take a cab, they are much dearer. The Train is just 1 Euro/Dollar per person. Some shop owners do try to get you to look in their shops, but a polite no thank you generally stop them hassling you. We booked a great day out White Water Rafting with the Cosmos rep, so give that a go, great fun and great value. We also bookd a Turkish Bath through the rep, which was a great experience and extremely cheap.
Overall the Adora made for a great holiday in a great hotel and was very relaxing. We met some great English people, which is where being the minority works, because you tend to all stick together. So a big hello to Jon, Cath, Ben and Emma. Gail, Richard, Lauren and Jordan. Steff, Maria and Penny. Roy, Tash and Rory.
p.s. take American Dollars. We were told to take Euro's rather than Turkish money, but due to the amount of Russians holidaying in Turkey, Dollars seem to be what they all use. Euro's were ok and accepted everywhere, but so were Dollars and things were much cheaper in Dollars because of the exchange rate.

I can honestly say that this was the holiday of a lifetime. Our actual booking was for the "club" area but the travel agent had told us it was for the main building so we were upgraded without any complaint or extra cost. We have stayed in Disneyland's "Castle Club" ie. their best rooms and even the basic club room here was bigger. As for the room in the main hotel...it was like a dream. A mezzanine floor, lounge area and two bathrooms, cleaned every day, how could anyone complain? There was a large number of German guests but, unlike other reviews I read, I found them to be pleasant and polite. Perhaps the behaviour you expect shows in your demeanor and effects how people react to you? There was certainly NO racing to claim sunbeds. I would usually get up at around 8, plonk my stuff on a sunbed then get breakfast. Most mornings there would still be loungers near the pool at around ten. Only once did we have to "make do" with a lounger one rank back which was really no big deal. The view was still beatiful because of the stunning garden areas all around the hotel and grounds. The only thing that was in short supply were parasols. The food was delicious and visually stunning. We had no problems with lack of choice, in fact the opposite was true. There was plenty of seating, lunch was indoors away from the day's fiercest heat but breakfast and dinner were served under a canopy in the open air. There was also a restaurant where you could book a table for a more special dinner. The hotel was visually stunning, make sure you take a moment to view the starscape ceiling! Finally, the staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We enjoyed our time here so much we never even left the compound. I can honesty say we couldn't find any fault at all.
We never left our hotel complex (it was so wonderful there was no need) I have rated VG simply because it's where the Adora is.

Downside was the amount of Russian and German people there, who we found quite aggressive and most smoked like chimneys! There was also the usual race for the sunbeds in the morning- we had to set our alarm for 7.30 and take our towels down to make sure we got a sunbed! Also, the food - whilst plentiful and fresh- was not great for vegetarians. There is very little cooked veggie food, I was stuck with salads and cheese all the time.
I would advise anyone going like us with two children to upgrade to a room in the main building; the ";club"; room we had was away from the main complex, we felt very cramped in there and it was very dark.
As others have said, take Euros rather than Turkish Lira, and make sure you have beach shoes as the sand was too hot to walk on (temperatures reached 45 degrees!!!)
Thomas Cook kids club was great- lots of variety, great staff and a chance for the kids to be somewhere cool for a while! My daughter did the stage schooland loved it!!
All in all,a good holiday!!
The hotel was excellent, the staff were very excellent and very helpful. There was something to do for the children all day long. We never hardly see the children. Kids club very good. Food was very varied, and very good. Beach was safe and very clean....

Food was very varied, and very good. Beach was safe and very clean. All in all we had a excellent holiday. Thomas Cook rep was the best I've ever had. Did like the Kids club as it was run only for British Kids and they were British as well. Overall did have a wonderful time and would certainly go again. Def a 5* hotel......

Apart from Luton Airport (1 1/2 hr check-in) this was a fantastic holiday. We paid extra to be in the main building - don't know if it was worth it or not. Tiny balcony. However, the rest of the hotel was brilliant. Thomas Cook reps were unbelievable! Best reps we have ever come across. Kids Club was excellent too, as was the Stage School. Our daughter (11) had a ball - we hardly saw her the whole fortnight. No problem getting sunbeds by the pool - you could still get them by around 10.30. Predominately Russian fellow guests - nuff said!!!! One minor quibble - the only spirits included in the all-inclusive were vodka, brandy, raki and gin. My husband who usually drinks Bacardi was forced to drink gin and tonic! He survived quite happily!
All in all a wonderful holiday - hotel spotless - I am sure we will be back!
