Dost Hotel Reviews

I have returned to this hotel 4 times in 12 months now, and i will definitly be back again next year. The hotel is local to everything and is only a 5minute walk away from bar street and beaches etc. The hotel was very clean, and was cleaned by the cleaner everyday. All the staff are excellent and will help make your holiday better, they wil do anything for you. The food in the hotel is very good, and is served all day. The hotel is a good, clean hotel and offcourse i will be back again next year for my holiday ! ! !

was booked into this hotel for 2 weeks but moved out after 4 days.Is so basic and grotty.It needs a good revamp or better still koocking down.If your on the pool side were we where its noisy because the bar is there and it stays open all night.If your on the roadside its noisy too as its a busy road.We booked into the Agar just down the road from the Dost,its lovely.

Just come back 26th Sept from Dost Hotel in Gumbet and my god it was terrible. With a six hour delay at Gatwick it wasnt a great start to our holiday either. When I read the reviews on this hotel and it says basic but needs updating on most of them, that was an understatement. Yes very basic and it also needs lots of work doing to make it even half decent. The double bed mattresses were all completely shot with springs sticking out and dents in where you lay so backache is definately on the menu. You were lucky if you had a shower head that stayed put on the wall or otherwise you had to hold it up. The cubicle was so small and everytime you had a shower it would flood the bathroom floor so you needed a towel on the floor just to soak up the water. If you get a room next to the road dont expect to sleep well, cos the road noise is horrendous. Buses and taxis beeping all night with heavy traffic flow all day and night. Not all air conditioning units work so make sure yours does before you pay for it. The rooms on the lower level are very small and they do not have air conditioning so get really hot all day and night. The swimming pool is lovely size but its a shame its not cleaned around the edges very often cos very dirty. lots of cracked tiles round the pool doesnt make it look that appealing either really but it was still nice to jump in when you were very hot. There was plenty of sunbeds tho and room around the pool which was nice. Garden definately needed lots of attention because made the area look even more untidy. The outside toilet was indiscribable it was awful. I dont think this ever gets cleaned if it does its probably at the start of season. The staff are very pleasent and helpful but it seemed instead of making themselves useful they decided to spend time mucking about in the pool. They could of done some gardening for example. Well after a week we couldnt stick all the problems and the sleepless nights and decided to leave. We got told that we could change rooms but dont think the 4th room change would of been any different so we left and went to the Filise Hotel.Please read my review on this hotel too. If you happen to go to this hotel say hi to jimmy the barman he is great and also the boss isnt a bad old stick either. Most people that were in this hotel with us named it the doss house or faulty towers. It was small and friendly but that was all that was going for it anyway.

Last year was the first year I took my family to Turkey. We was told to go to this hotel, by a family member who also returns to this hotel yearly.We also returned this year for our family holiday. We stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks and everyday our room was cleaned by the cleaners. All the staff was very helpful and would do anything for us. This hotel is only a 5 minute walk from bar street and the beach so was a perfect location for us. Overall we realli like the hotel, and we will be returning next year again for our 4th time.
