We had a great time at the Queens Resort. Staff were fantastic (hello to Jake, Murat, Mehmet and Yavus). They worked so hard and were always helpful and pleasant. Just keep an eye on your bill as this can soon mount up if you don't pay up after each day - no cash is exchanged with waiters.
The restaurant next door (Planet Yucca) is a nightmare! The manager or main waiter mither you to death to eat there. If they would leave you alone to choose it would be great! There is no other way out of the Queens so you have to pass by which can get stressful.
Leanne the Thomas Cook rep was also excellent and was always available to answer queries etc.
All in all we loved Gumbet and the Queens Resort and would definitely return.
Gumbet and Bodrum are really good holiday destinations. We would definitely return.

After reading the reviews i thought this would be the perfect place to stay. I have twice stayed at Jasmine Beach which was crowded but very clean. Queens Resort was a very good size complex but was not kept very clean ie showers-pool-rooms-and sockets hanging off walls and generally the routine maintenance. And the usual TOWELS on the loungers at 730am and the usual sqad of drunks that dominate the bar area and are generally LOUD. OVERALL I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPLEX..

Hoorah we are finally here, been waiting ages for our holiday, I came with my 10 month old son and my mum, we checked in, and I must say the receptionist staff are great, our bags were carreid to our rooms for us and believe me, we had a few, the rooms were great, the only thing I would say is that being a self catering apartment, the cooking facilities were laughable, we didn't have any tea spoons, we didnt have a collender or seive, so boiling anything was a bit of a nightmare, we didnt' have a fish slice so if you fried anything, you couldnt' get it out of the frying pan without completely destroying it, we didn't have a carving knife so you couldn't cut anything, we didn't have any glasses so had to drink out of mugs, we bought a bottle of wine and went to use the corkscrew only to find that it had been snapped off so had to go back to the shop where I bought it from and to get a corkscrew, they didn't sell any so bless them, they lent me theirs and took it back for them.
I had requested a cot but there was not cot in the room, I asked at reception and within ten minutes they had one in my room, unfortunately, the cost was so bad that I asked for another, but when they bought this in it looked like something out of a romanian orphanage and was for a baby who could not stand up. The first one was a travel cot which had netting at the sides, on one side the netting had come away and my son could crawl out of it or fall out of it and at one end the bottom of the cost had a massive hole in it so had to stuff his teddy in it, when I went to complain they didnt understand and he had to sleep in with me for the whole two weeks which for him was lovely but for me was not very good.
The cleaning staff were amazing, they were very friendly and being turkish mothers loved my son so much that when we left, they all cried, bless them.
The bar staff I found to be very uninterested in you unless you were 16 and dressed like Jordan or flashed your money about.
The baby pool is lovely, but be warned, there is no shade at all and when I asked for an umbrella they seemed most put out and tutted at me (again, this was the bar staff).
All in all, we had a good time there, most of the staff were marvellous but be warned, unless you are a 16 year old girl then the bar staff are not interested in helping you and if you have children that need to be in the shade then you will have to ask for an umbrella and moaned at
Great resort, everything that you need.

Just returned from two week stay at Queen Resort. The apartments were comfortable and tastefully furnished and were cleaned daily and linen changed regularly. Unfortunately, the standard of cleanliness did not extend to the swimming pool area. No-one seemed to take responsibility for cleaning around the poolside area which had litter, empty suntan lotion bottles, old discarded plasters, overflowing ashtrays - the list goes on! Consequently, we didn't eat at the poolside bar as we only saw the floor being hosed down on a couple of occasions, coupled with the loud noise either from the music or football on the television. The staff were probably tired after a long season and a bit bored because the complex was quite quiet. We have visited Turkey on a number of occasions before and this was our first visit to Gumbet. The resort is very lively and has lots of good restaurants and bars. Yucca Planet and Chinatown served very good food and the waiters were very friendly. Bodrum is only a short distance away and has a more upmarket feel to it. Would thoroughly recommend going on boat trip which we did on a couple of occasions. Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday, but I think this was mainly due to the fact we packed a lot into our holiday. Although these apartments were comfortable and the staff friendly, I would certainly not rate them 4* - more 2* plus.

We have just returned from a fab 2 week stay at Queens Resort.
What a holiday everything about this holiday was great. The hotel, was very clean and spacious, nice pool area and bar. The staff are great, hi to Fico and Ali ( Excuse me...delicious) Mustafa, Mehmet,Yumot, Jellou and all the others. These guys made our holiday. The entertainment is great, Wednesday is ladies night, half price meals and cocktails for the ladies, and pool party. Beware whatever you are wearing you will end up in the pool. Great laugh. Fri is Turkish night, you get a nice BBQ all for a tenner. Good entertainment too. Go and watch the staff play footy, thats fun even tho it was 3am in the morning. They all waved us off at 1am in the morning which wash very sweet. The hotel is a the end of bar street so your right near all the great bars but not right on top of it all. Only tiny prob is the towels on sunbeds. As usual you have to get up at silly o clock to put your towels down. I must admit though towards the end of our holiday, Fattih the manager (Hello)woke up extra early and removed all the towels as it was the same people always getting the good ones.
The beach was nice, you get free sunbeds which is a result especially if your there for 2 weeks. Nice bars and restaurants along the beach front. The weather was hot hot hot, 55 degrees at one point which caused 2 fires as it was sooo hot.
The boat trip was good, quite a ong day though, from 10-5. Would reccomend you do that towards the end of your hol when youve already got a nice tan otherwise you could get burnt as its so hot on there. There is so much to do there you will definately not get bored.
All in all we all had a great 2 week stay and are looking to book again next year.If you have booked to go to this resort you will not be disappointed.
We are all very jelous.
See you all next year guys x x
