Twenty six years ago Gundogan was paradise. The local people friendly, the food in the simple beachside cafes fresh and superb. The prices reasonable and value for money. Now the village has been overdeveloped to the point where it resembles a cross between Benidorm and Malaga. They are still building beachside villas and apartments when they clearly haven't sold the last lot. Prices have rocketed (the locals can no longer even afford a cup of tea in a restaurant,) the atmosphere killed. Music blares out day and night from the many hotels, in short a place to be avoided. We will not be returning despite memories of many many happy holidays there. All in all in reminded me of the very worse of Spain.
