"enjoybale"
Overall Resort Rating:
The hotel is three miles from anywhere, so going for a walk after dinner involves walking along an unlit dual carriageway, and there are no local bars and shops to provide for ones needs. There is a market that comes to the complex every Sunday and you can pick up a real bargain if you have a little banter with the sellers. We took a day trip to Ephesus with a tour guide (I would highly recommend this as you may be a bit clueless if you have nobody to explain what each place is) and also a trip to the local traditional market.

"nice resort"
Overall Resort Rating:
Kusadasi is a 10 min bus drive away but be prepared to be hussled outside evry shop! Make time for a visit to the market on a Wednesday... great for bags, clothing, perfume etc. There are 2 water parks very near by too, we visited Aqua Fantasy Park which was fab. Make sure to take plenty of mosquito repellant, they were a nuisance.

Overall Resort Rating:
Kusadasi is about 15 minuts from grand blue sky on the bus, it has a large shopping centre, a lot of water front, plenty of places to eat, i did not find it cheap to eat. the boat trips are a must, cheap day out with a meal on board.

"Perfect!"
Overall Resort Rating:
Didn't test the nightlife and it was therefore put as average.
Shops had an excellent choice of local craft and produce, though many had the same produce as one a few shops further down the street. Haggling is recommended, but we found we didnt have to as we went at the end of the season and so were given extra things for free!! Beware of people who like to entice small children into their shops, but this goes without saying really.
Can seriously reccommend Planet Yucca for food and also Aqua Fantasy water park. If you go on a tour with Diana Tour Guides, try to get O.J. as she is funny and has a great attitude to everyone.

"Aqua Fantasy Resort Hotel"
Overall Resort Rating:
What a unique hotel! My Turkish husband and I stayed with his parents in the family suite at this cave hotel. The place was slightly difficult to find (my husband had to ask a few people on the way there), especially since the driveway leading to the hotel is very narrow and rather hidden

"Kusadasi is not for everyone. "
Overall Resort Rating:
A lot of bars claim to be Irish owned but are not. Bar Street with it’s night life only really gets started at about midnight. So try the old town bars first. The Yucca is very expensive for food, but it is well prepared and served, but again there are lots of other restaurants around. I recommend “Pam’s,” which is just around the corner from the hotel…Left at the bottom of the road and second left….Try their roasts!!!! Street vendors try to get you in their shops and you will also be plagued by perfume sellers along the streets….It may be just water they sell…You just don’t know. On your way back to the airport at Izmer, buy your drinks and food as the cost inside is really exorbitant!!!!!

"Kustur beach"
Overall Resort Rating:
The beach at Kustur is a tiny strip fo sand (about 2 metres) with shingle. Water was nice, but not really a family beach, more a place to lie by the sea and sunbathe.

"Avoid Murphys, Go to Aqua Fantasyland"
Overall Resort Rating:
Whilst we didnt venture ot of our hotel too much, we did visit Kusadasi for the market (held every Wednesday 8am to 8pm). LOADS of handbags, clothing, shoes and other stuff on offer, but be prepared to haggle, and haggle very hard. The traders all speak good english, but can be downright rude and very forceful when trying to get your cash. You also wont get much difference between UK market prices and Turkish. The traders seemed happy to take Euros, Lira or Pounds, just be sure you haggle in the right currency, else when you settle on a price they will screw you on the exchange rate lol. Also remember that everything is fake and counterfeit - dont be lulled into believeing that these goods are genuine and therefore the prices excellent. As an example, one stall holder was insisting that £40 for a football kit was an excellent price. For a genuine kit, it would have been, but for knock off goods, it wasnt. However the market is a great experience, but dont go unless you want to buy, and make sure you are thick skinned enough to deal with the insulst when you walk away from some stalls. One stallholder actually told my ten year old son he hope our plane would crash on the way home, and this was after we had actually bought something from him - he obviously thought we had got too good a deal from him...?
Kusadasi itself is a great tourist town. Loads to see and do, and very lively. Just remember that EVERYTHING can be haggled, so the price you are asked for is the stupid tourist price, which only naiive people will pay. On which note, please avoid Murphys like the plague. Its decent enough food, but at an average of £10 a head for a one course meal and drink (2 adults, a 10 year old and a 3 year old) it is not what was advertised by the bloke touting the hotels, and they are quite pushy getting you to buy more drinks and spend more time there. I would call it school dinner standard food, and very much targetted at UK customers, but not good value for money by English standards, let alone Turkish.
We also visited Aqua Fantasyland. This was 15 euros per adult and half price for the kids through an excursion company, and worth evry single penny. The place was immaculately clean, the food on average 10 liras [5 euros] a meal (which for a theme park is pretty darn good) and tasty, and the park itself was out of this world. It was great for my 4 year old with blow up rafts going around a very long lazy river and a massive pirate land where the water is no more than 30 cm at any point. Loads of lifeguards, very helpful staff and then my 10 year old LOVED the slides, of which there were plenty. Even in mid august, the queues for slides were 5 minutes maximum, and frequently no queue at all. This is a definite recommend to anyone visiting Kusadasi.
