Resort much busier than we expected, as really it joins up with Yashi. However, area around the holiday apartments was quiet. Need to walk or taxi to eat out but there is a huge choice. Lovely barbeque resaurant 5 minute walk towards Ortakent. Easy to get around on the dolmus. Use this for getting to the waterpark. Be warned you can't take your own food and drink in. Beach is just a thin strip and sand in the water is a bit on the muddy side. Very easy to get in and out of Bodrum. Our best discovery ever was 'Salty Boat'. We privately chartered the boat with a couple of other families for a day's sailing and swimming with meals thrown in. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went out for an everning sail and barbeque.Lovely people, beautiful boat. Call Arif on 0 537 659 24 44 or look out for Salty Dog at the Quay at Ortakent

Ortakent is a quiet resort with a lovely promenade and plenty of restaurents to choose from. The beach is narrow and gets busy but it is clean. A lovely Turkish resport. Eating out was quite expensive especially the cost of the wine!40 lira a bottle.

Ortakent is very small compared to other Turkish resorts and as such the selection of restaurants is not brilliant and there aren't many shops. If you want nightlife, good food and lovely shops you have to bus into Bodrum or Gumbet. I also found that food was dearer eating out in Ortakent compared to Bodrum or Gumbet. I have been to Turkey on a number of occasions over the years and was in Bitez 14 years ago. It was still a small resort but the choice of restaurants was amazing and we ate in a differnt one every night of our two week stay - we couldn't have done that in Ortakent. The best meal we had was in a lovely restaurant in Bodrum right down by the Harbour (on the corner with a roof-top area). I wouldn't rush back to Ortakent but if I could put the Muskebi Apartments in another location, I would jump at them!!!

I can't comment on the food cos we never had any in the hotel. Some people had tried the only restaurant next to the apartments and they were not very complimentary about it, so we gave it a miss. The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are very ...
