as for gonig out at evening to the bars they try to get you in all the time that was a pain. but the bar staff was excellent with the kids playing with them

the hotel was very nice, the staff was excellent, very helpful.

myself my husband and 3 daughters went to the lunamar on 08/09/08 for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minuet of it.staff were brilliant and its cleanliness couldnt fault,rooms cleaned every day.entertainment was good there was something everynight.prices were very reasonable there was 2 pools which were cleaned every night,there was a bit of a hill leading up to the hotel but got use to it.me and my husband are going to marmaris in may but will be visiting everyone at the hotel while we are there but will be back in september at the lunamar with my daughters and my son and cant wait to go back its well worth the money.

the resort was very dull and the main town was a street long.

when me and my parent went to this hotel it was spotless yet the activities were not spaced out well and the food was disgusting. by the end of the 2 weeks we spent there the table cloth was paper and you were lucky if there was any food left by 7 an incovinience for families with children who like to stay in the pool. staff seemed bored and activities for children were sometimes extras. the spa was fabulous and memet you are the best ever get him to show you the trick with his name tag.the market which is in town on sundays is brilliant and is defenatly worth going to. the market at the hotel on saturdays is good but the sunday market in town is better. i would not recommend this hotel to any one i know as it is huge and not big enough. the jeep safari however is great always book with first choice when going on these as other companies are unreliable.

Just come back from yet another great holiday at sun aparts, cannot ask for more for this family run welcoming apartment. Excellent spacious rooms, very clean with an excellent maid service. Roberto, Mehmet and family all do the best to help in every aspect. Great food, snacks and meals. Fabulous entertainment, different every night, my 3 year old daughter loved dancing the night away! I would recommend this apartment over and over again to families, singles, couples, teenagers!! Sun aparts make everyone very welcome, cannot wait til the next time i go!!!! A++++++++++++

stayed at the mitos sept/oct 08 for two weeks. Excellent accomodation in a great location, highly recomended. Icmeler itself is a great resort with lots to do. plenty of nice eatery's, etc. The beach is very nice if a bit crowded in the resort centre but you only need to walk a little way along the beach to your left to find somewhere a bit more relaxing. Lots of nice walks if you like to get about a bit. Mitos A1 Iclemer A1 Best Restaurant Artemis do it !!

Busy resort and gets bigger each time we go which isn't always a good thing

The only thing i would advise people thinking of booking the Goldstone for a holiday is DON’T.

As others have said the place is awful, staff out only to get your money and don’t really care how they get it so long as they do.

The bar is called Friends .....hahahahaha is all i can say to that as the staff at the Goldstone don’t know what the word means unless you are spending all your time there and there for all your money in there then yes they are your friends!

Flies with your breakfast is normal at the Goldstone as they leave all the food uncovered for the flies to feed on first! The poor flies were as sick as the customers who were brave enough to try the food.

From start to finish we had trouble with the hotel from broken shower, a none working Loo to overcharging on drinks.

It almost brought my poor wife to tears as it was one thing after another and isn’t a holiday suppose to restful and enjoyable... well the Goldstone and its staff have never heard of those words

Do yourself a favour and keep away from The Goldstone.

The resort is good with loads of bars and lots to do on the night time. Drinks cost about the same as here but food is a lot cheaper.

I had the misfortune to stay at the Goldstone in October and i have to say it was a awful place.

Yes it is in a good location but the Goldstone should be named Colditz as the staff and management hate you leaving the hotel at all and i saw some poor girl chased down to road by one member of staff shouting at her that the hotel had a pool, bar so WHY was she leaving!

The bar Friends it was called , funny really as they were far from friendly to customers who wanted to get out and about in Marmaris and not spend all their holiday in the bar. Customers staying at the hotel were given the cold shoulder by all the staff if they didn’t spend all their holiday in the bar.

The pool was more like a bath and had glass in the bottom of it, i told a member of the Goldstone staff but nothing was done about it for 24 hrs.

The breakfast which was or should have been Turkish breakfast was awful and left uncovered all the time for the files to walk all over before was ate it! The breakfast juice was made from tap water, i saw one waiter fill the jug up with water from the tap when i said he shouldn’t be doing that he replied .. that is what i have be n told to o by manager. No wonder so many people had upset stomachs. Tables left with dirty pots and ash trays, bits of uneaten food left on the tables WE had to the job of the waiters as they were to busying smoking at the bar.

Thank god we weren’t half board like some poor people were Tomato soup, chicken that was all that was on offer for the whole of their stay, most give up after the first couple of days and ate out. Lots of people staying in the hotel complained about things being add to bills, offer to buy a waiter a drink and they would add 2 or 3 drinks to the bill.

Waiters would come and sit at your table at breakfast hassling you to come to Turkish nights, use the pool when that failed they would then go on to tell you about their poor ill mother who needed a operation and they didn’t have the money to pay for it, they would say with tears in their eyes!

My advice to people thinking of going to this hotel would be yes go if would like to spend the whole of your holiday in a Colditz Hotel with rude staff who hassle you all the time then shout rude remarks to you when you dare to leave the hotel to see what Marmaris has to offer.

We came back from Marmaris at the end of September start of October and we were sad to leave Marmaris BUT not sad to leave the awful palce called Goldstone.

I am sure there are prisons better than the Goldstone and Prison officers better than the staff at the Goldstone.

Cleaners great not a problem rooms a clean as you would expect for the money, night desk again ok as was the young lad on the day time but the bar staff and the management team were bad and i mean b. a. d.

Adding drinks and food on to bills was common place, ignoring people staying at the hotel again common place if the staff felt they didn’t spend enough money in the place, dirty pool common place, rude staff common place, bad food common place.

The management would allow the lads from the bars to bring back the young girls they had picked up from the bars around Marmaris, the noise was awful and not the sort of thing you need, expect or want from your holiday.

I was silly enough to complain one day to the management about the noise in the hotel on a night time, i then had to put up with the dirty looks comments from the staff for the rest of the day and the noise well it was just as bad on the night time, as others have said they don’t want to know unless you spend 24/7 in the bar.

I also was told that you should spend 2/4 FULL days and NIGHTS of your holiday in the hotel,.... mmm never heard that before!

Why would you want to spend time in a bar were the staff ogled the young girls and almost undressed them in front of you, i saw a couple of girls in tears due to the staff now taking the word no for a answer.

would i go back to the Goldstone................... not on your nelly would i!!!! and i would advise you not to either.

im afraid we did nt visit olu deniz town. but i am assured by others that did at the time of our visit that its a very pretty, and likable place.
