Everything you need in the vicinty or can be obtainable by getting local busses which are very frequent for around 2tl. Watch out for days of market(bazaar) and go there to do your shopping but barter like mad!!

If you can cope with the hassle from getting into restaurants and bars then its great. The people are very friendly and don't want you to leave at end of night.

the place was amazing. very expensive but great for a good meal. and all the bars and resaraunts try to get you in but if you say no tomorrow and walk by the next day they will remember you and get you in :L the bars are great. but the male staff are too touchy feely around young teenage girls but they are funny :L i loved it xx

Lively, although The Litera Marmaris Relaxe is quite a way outside main Marmaris. It cost 16 Lira to get there in a taxi. Beaches were rough but plently to do there, inflatables in the sea. Lots of shops, bars, entertainment and a lively fun atmostphere.

Great resort with something for everyone. At night the area is closed to cars so safe for families. Del Boys was a fantastic restaurant with a fab menu and very reasonably priced. Waterpark at Asena Village Hotel very good also. I went to the Beauticians across road from Azda's and received really good service. Also recommend Custom Art Tattoo Studio if wanting a tattoo!

Marmaris was quite nice and I would go back to visit it again at some point in the future if I had the money. It was very warm when I was there and was maybe even too warm for me, in the 40s and I had to spend a lot of time sitting indoors and sitting in the shade to cool off a bit. The nightlife was quite loud and rowdy, good for younger holidaymakers but not really my cup of tea to be honest. There were lots of things to see and do in Marmaris which was good and I went on a lovely boat trip. Beware that a lot of local people in Marmaris trying to sell you things will continually try to rip you off so watch your money and have your wits about you at all times as I wouldnt trust them at all. Apart from that, I had a nice time in Marmaris and would like to go back again.

I really enjoyed my stay in Marmaris itself even though my accomodation left a lot to be desired really. Marmaris is very pretty with gorgeous beaches and the weather was amazing when I was there, very hot and sunny during my stay which I loved. The men in Marmaris are a little too friendly if you catch my drift and they made me feel quite uneasy and uncomfortable being around them. There are some good shops in Marmaris and I really enjoyed picking up a good few bargains while I was there. Food is quite cheap in the supermarkets and it isnt too expensive to eat out either in Marmaris which is good but this depends really on where you go. There is good nightlife too but more suited to younger people than older people. I enjoyed my holiday very much and would return to Marmaris in the future at some point.

beaches are rocky,couldnt do much with young kids on them.marmaris is very busy.be very carefull when crossing the road to the beach.we didnt like the market as we were "nagged" a lot so we preferred the shops.the marina part is very pretty at night.if you like sweetcorn then i would recommend you buy one off the sellers on the streets.they are nice and hot and my kids loved them!

the resort of marmaris is great ,,if you like shopping and eating , beach not brilliant as most of it run by the bars and resturants and is not sand more shingle , but there is a public beach and sunbeds and umbrellas are reasonable , people are friendly especially if you are young and female , waiters are like flies around poo , jeep safari pretty good if you dont mind getting wet , there were a few moaners in the party we went with so spoiled it a little but that made the organisers take the mick even more out of them.its abusy resort if you like that sort of thing and we do , if you want a bit quieter go to icemeler , beach is also better. watch out for the occasional bus bomb and controlled explosion on a suit case on a bus stop ,also did have a shooting one night outside armar, no one killed, but that only adds to the entertainment. markets are good , lots of bargains , alway barter down ,,, and try to use english money, you normally get a better deal for your money . i never take euros, use english or lira.

Hisaronu is ok, lots of restaurants and bars and fake designer goods. The locals are amazingly friendly and are really welcoming to families, I would visit again for that reason alone. The lagoon is ok but it is along way and very busy. Highly recommend horseriding, we went direct to the stables which are behind Start Apart and arranged our own trek in the evening when it was cooler and it was far more enjoyable going into the mountains.

we did not need to venture from the holiday village as we had verything we needed there and it was perfectly safe for our 5 year old.

shops have all the basics you might need and are around half the price of the shops within the complex so well worth taking the 5 min bus. the market on sunday has all the things you expect like t-shirts, turkish delight etc. was disappointed with the lack of leather handbags as over the years it seems that they have all been replaced by non leather bags. remember to haggle for a bargain though.

icmeler is lovely we have been there about 12 times it is very picturesque, the turkish people are great and the are lots of trips to do ie boats jeep safari horse riding turkish bath and lots more.

Very repetative - all the shops sell the same stuff and the restaurants are catering for those who like to eat roast beef and yorkshire pudding!

we love calis beach, there is a huge selection of places to eat(our favourite for the views and romantic atmosphere plus the best view in turkey is the sat bar, tv's available for the guys is some bars. music, dancing, shops, transport (try the water taxi to fethiye) hairdressers, manicures, pedicures, turkish baths, available for the ladies.
