Until a few weeks ago we didn't know this resort existed. What a lovely suprise we got. Its big enough to be enjoyable and small enough not to be over powering, the local people are very friendly and cannot do enough for you.
The Dawn beach hotel is quite basic but is very clean and the owners and staff are cheerfull and extremely helpful. The hotel is situated about 100 meters from the beach and the resort centre, where there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Try ";Sirco 1"; if you like chinese, I dont think you will be disapointed. However, not all tastes are the same. Although we never had a bad meal some places where better value for money than others. Our favourite was the ";MANGAL Restaurant"; directly accross the road from our hotel. Quality food and value for money it takes some beating. Watch out if you go into the Post Office bar they have a tendancy of forgeting to put spirits in certain drinks. E.g. On our first and last visit they forgot on three occasions to put Vodca into a Vodca and Sprite. Hence we were getting just lemonade. When questioned the excuse was ";Sorry I thought you just asked for Sprite"; Funny how they always remembered to charge for the Vodca though...
Anyhow that was the only negative thing that happened to us during our stay. If you fancy doing any trips try the 12 Island boat tour, its fantastic. You are best booking this from Fethiya harbour. The cost is about £7 to £10 and that includes lunch. Drinks are extra and quite expensive in comparison to normal bars etc.
Whatever you decide to do I'm sure you will enjoy it, we certainly did, and for those of you who have never been to Turkey before, never accept the first price offered always barter, you will get a better deal and the Tukish people expect it. On a trip to local market we purchased a hammock for about £7, to start off with the trader wanted about £15.
All that remains to be said is, if you are considering this resort give it a try you might just get hooked like we did.
