It was our first holiday without our parents. We chose to go to calis because Amy had been before and really enjoyed it.

The first night we got to the hotel there was a black out in the whole of calis and we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. But when we awoke in the morning the sun was blazing and there was friendly faces everywhere.

We went down for breakfast and there was a good selection of bread, cheeses and meats etc. The facilities at the hotel was really good the rooms where immaculate and the towels was changed daily and fresh bedding was put on twice a week. The pool area was great with the poolside bar and friendly staff who was always willing to help which included Erhan, Hamza, Ersel, mustafa, and owner Metay.

The beach front was lined with a great selection of bars and resteraunts which was reasonably priced. If you like cocktails like we do then try B52 near the hotel for buy 1 get 1 free cocktails from 9pm until 11pm every night.

The resort is more for people looking for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all rather than to go clubbing.

On the whole it was a fantastic holiday and we will definatly be returning. If you go to calis we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!

the room was excellent, pool areas was also excellent ,

we stayed half board and the food was cooked whilst you waited at dinner times and was extreamly good ,
the other reports about the 37 manchester group are somewhat true but we must be honest that we had only 10 days of them and they tended to go on trips most days thank goodness or were in bed till 2 pm ish . we will go back to this hotel as it was so nice as were all the locals inthe area ,
hamzel ehran mehti and all the staff and owners we say thank you for a very good holiday

This hotel is clean and the staff are very good. The pool area is excellent.BUT? This hotel does block bookings, not through the tour operator. We picked this hotel because brouchers advice, Popular choice for adults and couples.THEN a party of about 37 adults and children turned it into a cheap caravan site with towels hanging from the balconys, bombing, compleatly taking over.Three partys immediately walked out,so beware of block bookings at this hotel they do it often.

Also it is right next to a river so you will not be sitting on your balconys at night, you WILL get bit and how. We are not new to TURKEY having been 9 times now and are going again in September but not to this hotel.

This was our first trip to Turkey and we were very impressed and will definitely return.

We arrived at one in the morning and were warmly greeted by Mahmut (not sure on the spelling) who eagerly whisked our heavy luggage up to our room. This was the first example of how welcoming, friendly and helpful all of the staff at the hotel were. They all gave the impression that they weren't just there to work, but were actually enjoying your holiday with you.
The hotel is kept very clean, the cleaning staff came in to our room daily with clean sheets twice a week and fresh towels each day.

Buffet style breakfast had a good selection of meats, cheeses, bread, etc and some days the chef prepared omelettes to order. Not forgetting the coconut cake which was a favourite for our daughter! Must mention here Hamza, who kept Abby entertained each breakfast (and throughout our 2 week stay).
There's a good sized pool with separate children's pool, games area and all important pool bar run by Erhard (again, apologies for the spelling!)who was always helpful and good to talk to ('always buy local drinks - much cheaper than imports')
Only one down side, probably to do with the hotel being close to the river, the mosquitos are nasty! We heard of a lady being bitten 50 times in one night! Don't bother taking any insect spray 'cos it's useless! Much better to buy the local stuff - Sin Kov spray - easy to find in the supermarkets.

Calis Beach itself is shingle but didn't stop our daughter trying to make sand pies! It is clean and was not busy at all when we were there. Keep an eye out for the Caretta turtles. In the evening, the restaurants and bars that line the promenade light up and there are many good places to choose from. Of special note are 3mmm (gorgeous calamari), Hotel Er-Oz (must try the Prest Fainting), Serkul 1 and 2 (sizzling dishes),Bella Mama (gorgeous steak pizzas)!

Catch a dolmus in to Fethiye to book trips at the harbour - much cheaper than the tour reps. Good trips include 12 island boat trip with Hamish McPherson - hotel pick-up,all day boat trip with meal included, drop off at hotel all for £10 each - bargain! Also, should try the Dalyan mud baths trip ( but watch out - most coach trips do a little surprise de-tour and visit either a jewellery centre or carpet shop along the way!)Great day out though. Also try to visit Fethiye market on Tuesdays for prezzies. Olu Deniz is also well worth the trip - especially the lagoon side which is absolutely beautiful.

Could go on for ages but will stop now. All in all, had a great holiday and would recommend it to anyone. We have just read the previous review that was also in June and noted the problem with block booking. We didn't find it a problem as such but we were the only ones to travel via First Choice, everyone else had been to the hotel many times before and had booked direct. So it's possible that large parties may book - but that can happen anywhere.
