We stayed at the Mutlu July 08 for 2 weeks. The staff were very friendley and helpful. The owner would do well to take a leaf out of there book hardly a smile or a how do out of him. The food was basic but plentyful. The location was super, however a word of warning if you like sand the beach is shale only so take your water shoes with you as ther are a few sharp rocks in the sea. I would definatly come back to the Mutlu.

What more can I add to all the reviews on this site. Well all I can say is that I have been to many 4+5 star hotels around the world and in Turkey but none of them have this special vibe that this hotel has. I spoke to many people staying here and was told that they had been coming to the Mutlu for 15 years some even more than 20 years and I can see why. The rooms are clean and you get clean towels every day. They are not spacious but I would say they are average. Breakfast is very good and every other day the chef is on hand to cook you a mean omelette or fried eggs otherwise your can have scrambled egg or boiled egg. The bread rolls are always fresh and this goes for all the meats, tomatoes, cheese etc. Toast and jam is on offer plus yoghart and honey. The restuarant looks out to the sea which is a bonus. All the staff are extremely friendly but I must say that Eylem is a godess, she cannot do enough for you and is always happy she is by far the nicest person I have met working in reception. If you like to stay around the pool I can vouch to the cleanliness of the pool and the gardens. There is always loungers availiable and the breeze that arrives every day whisks across the pool area and helps to cool you especially when the temperatures reached 40 degrees in the shade. All in all my opinion of this hotel is that you will find it hard to find one like it and I will definately be going back. I will post a review on Calis itself on the appropiate page. Thanks again for all at the Hotel Mutlu for making our holiday a holiday to remember.

Great meals in Bella Mama`s, Meeting Point,Ottaman,Serkul (say hello to Ali)Harem.Call at the Tailors at the back of Er-Oz to get dresses and tops made to measure for a lot less than chain store UK models, and lastly make sure you watch the sunset FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is our tenth visit to Turkey, but our first visit to Calis. At first the resort looks a bit untidy, but once you get your bearings it is really very enchanting. We were very lucky in our choice of hotel and it is certainly the best we have ever stayed in. All the staff are excellent and could not do enough to help. The rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and have great views from the balcony. Ours had a view across the bay to Fethiye. The gardens and poolside are a delight and is the main reason we did not make many trips out.
We did make a couple of trips to Fethiye one for eating at night, another for sightseeing, and another for the very large market on a Tuesday. We tried various eating places along the seafront and were not disappointed in any if them. When we return we will be trying the ones we did not get a chance to try this year.
I think you will be able to gather from this report that our holiday was a great success and we can't wait until next year.

Recently Returned from this hotel which we would highly recommend.
The gardens were lovely, the rooms were clean and tidy and the staff were very polite.
We are in our 30's, both work and don't have kids and like to just chill out when abroad and the lack of screaming kids around the poolside was much appreciated.
The hotel appears to attract either like minded people or saga louts, neither of whom cause you any of the problems that are normally associated with the ";chav"; brigade; if you are looking for a club 18-30 style holiday then avoid this hotel and resort.
Only minor complaint was that there weren't enough umbrellas and/or stands to accommodate everybody around the poolside and unless you were willing to get up in the middle of the night to reserve one you didn't stand a chance.
The resort itself was also very good, being low key with plenty of bars and restaurants. At first we had reservations about going to Turkey (for various reasons) but we needn't have worried. The food overall was superb and very cheap and the locals were very friendly.
The only downside was the touting that goes on by restaurant owners who are keen for you to stop by their business. However it is probably our English reserve which made us feel uncomfortable at the very persistant marketing techniques employed by them!
Special mention for Bella Mamma's restaurant which served me with the best carbonara I've ever had (and I've been to Rome!). Every meal we had was superb.
Also ";Er Oz"; deserves a mention as yet another superb eatery.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a relaxing holiday then don't hesitate to visit this resort: looking for Ibiza Uncovered? then go to Ibiza!!!
