Favorite place in all of our travel.Very basic hotel, great value for money.Fantastic views.Drinks are pricey, we bought from the shops in town. If you don't fancy the walk into Fethiye, jump on the dolbus (local bus) Just start walking, they will ostly toot as they approach. Very cheap. If you want to go to Olu Deniz beach, ask them to stop near Dolmush Hill. The "sea" side of the lagoon once you have paid your entrance is the best part. For eating in Fethiye try the Turkish places for best food the Kervan & the Hanedan near to the big mosque are great. For boat trips without too many people look for Zeki on the main prom. His boats ,Olive Oil & Popeye are fab.

The Mediteran is a very basic hotel - my lamp didn't work, nor did my tv remote, there was no bath, or fridge and the shower was so so. There was no entertainment at night, just a small bar outside. There was also a lot of noise from barking dogs etc at night so take your ear plugs.
And I LOVED it!
The location is absolutely beautiful - it is off the beaten track, right on the marina - a more peaceful haven I have never visited.
Ali, one of the owners is one of the best hosts I have met and the food at the hotel is delicious and reasonably priced.
The pool is large and the views amazing.
The hotel overlooks a working boatyard, but this just adds to the overall feeling of authenticity.

Do not expect any luxury, but for £9 per night just lie back and enjoy the atmosphere.
There is a Dolmus every 10 minutes into Fethiye which is a lovely town and you can basically get anywhere from there.

We recommend this hotel to couples, but please don't be put off by your first impression. OK, some of the reviews have said that the hotel is dated, and its not particularly modern, but this is the most relaxing and peaceful hotel I have stayed in in Europe. Having breakfast every day at the marina, with the water lapping the shore was just beautiful. The pool is great - quite big for a hotel of this size. The boatyards at either side of the hotel are not noisy during the day. The dolmus takes you to and from Fethiye town as the hotel is about a mile or so from the main area. You are really central for Calis, Olu Deniz and Hisaronu.

You won't be disappointed if you give it a try.

Fine resort, fine location, interesting food and good views

BUT - the hotel is fairly old and poorly soundproofed. The two roads at the back of the hotel can be very noisy at all hours of the day. The boatyards are not noisy at night, but the dogs and cockerel will wake you up at sunrise every day, and the volume of the audio system from the hotel bar will keep you awake until they turn in at 3.am
If your'e lucky enough to have fallen asleep by then, but are unlucky enough to have a room on floor 3, the sound of the staff running up the steel stairs to floor 4 will wake you.

Nice place if you can get all your sleep in in the day !

This hotel is to be recommended .....the staff are really nice people and helpful...the town centre of fethiye is really lively at the night time the bars are always full even during the week.....lovely town to visit....the madeiteran hotel has a back boat yard which restores old boats (old boat yard) not recommended if you don't like a lot of noise but like to watch boats being restored......anyway there is a dolmus that picks you up right outside the hotel every couple of minutes and only costs 1 million to take you right into the centre of town......

the rooms in the hotel are very basic but are comfortable to sleep in....we stayed for the 2 weeks and are hoping to take the kids with us this year.......this hotel is direct onto the sea front and has its own jetty that you can swim or dive off.........hope you enjoy it the same as we did.......don't forget to report on it to let others know what its like also.......enjoy...enjoy.....enjoy.....
