Yigit Bey Apartments Reviews

Yigit Bey Aparts look very attractive and are clean and comfortable. Do not believe the 800 metres from beach outright lie on the owners website. The nearest beach (shingle) is a 15 minute bus ride away in Calis. The apartments are very isolated and are in a village called Gunlukbashi which is midway between Calis and Fethiye. Guests at Yigit Bey are a source of curiosity to local people around. The neighbours are all locals and an assortment of farm animals...who make a hack of a racket.The apartment owner has a guard dog which barks like a mad thing at every noise through the night.Its kennel was directly under our bedroom. There are also a few cockerels within a few yards so the morning chorus is something to behold. Yigit Bey apartments are located between 2 mosques and the loud speaker calls to prayer at 5am just add to the blissful nights sleep. Lots of building work around the apartments also. Access road is very poor with rubble and loose grit.

Extortionate charges are levied by owner for air conditioning (£28 week)He was most unhappy when this was not accepted and resorted to removing the fly screens on windows of one guests apartment in an effort to pressure gusts into buying air-con. Pool bar charges are way in excess of usual food and drink prices around. No toilet paper provided whatsoever so when you arrive in the early hours make sure you bring supplies. Very basic kitchen equipment (Tip here...dont try and cook anything..you will spend days trying to clean the pans as everything sticks) also no tin opener or kettle provided.
Would we go back ? ...to these apartments no unless the owner has a prick of conscience and lowers his prices but will definately visit Turkey again.

As for Goldtrail..they cannot be faulted..gave 110% and went the extra mile with everything. Even offering to move us to other accomodation closer to civilisation (for an additional charge). We declined this as we had unpacked everything and felt the upheavel to move would have been too much.
