The apartments are on the outskirts of Icmeler, in a quiet, pleasant, location, but a good way from the beach. On the whole, we liked it there, but unfortunately the owner, Reg, spoilt it for us by harping on about us not spending our money in HIS bar. Then he really upset us, by telling a friend who picked us up to take us to his restaurant, that he should not be picking us up, we should be getting a taxi (which he would arrange - no doubt for a cut of the fare) He then had the cheek to ask us if we could move out of our apartment a few hours early as he had other guests arriving before we were due to leave. We had a 2am pick up for the airport, and he wanted us out by 7pm so he could get the apartment cleaned for a midnight check in. It wasn't a problem, as we were going out anyway, but we'd paid for the room until the next day at 11am, and he didn't even offer us a drink for the inconvenience. We won't be going back there. If you want to spend all your days by the small pool, and eat and drink there, this place would be fine, but if, like us, you only want a place to sleep, don't bother.

we were made very welcome.Reg the owner and his family very nice. Towels changed and rooms cleaned frequently. It was a bit of a trek to the beach so if you are elderly or difficulty walking I would not reccommend it as taxis are pricey. When it comes to excurrsions dont book all inclusive boat trip as we did it is a rip off we were told that drinks plus meal was all included big mistake soft drinks and skol beer free but for efes beer you had to pay extra, we were told that we would be brought back to apartments but they let us of at harbour trip started at 1030 stopped at a few places to swim, had lunch average stopped at a small town for 1 half hours then dropped of at 4.00pm.If you want to do trips we actually booked horse riding near sylvias as you go into town there is a booking office there we really enjoyed it not expensive and value for money there is 2 different trips for horse riding the best one is the one where you go deep into the river wear old trainers brill.Didnot enjoy nightlife too much tina turner elvis and freddie mercury impressions.Turkish guys dancing on bars etc not my cup of tea but each to there own.

We have just returned from The Sarigul apartments, Icmeler. This is a small family run hotel, where nothing is too much trouble. Because its small there is no fighting over sun loungers or slowness in service. Reg, the owner is a great host, and his Turkish meat balls although spicy are really tasty. The hotel is small, clean and basic, but the atmosphere there is welcoming. The downside is it is in the old village, so is a bit of a walk from the town. However we walked into town and got a taxi back, which cost approx 8 lira ( £3.00). Its not too bad for most, but as its uphill it is a bit tiring for anyone with a disablitly, as one of our group had. We have been to Icemeler before but would not hesitate to stay with Reg and his family again.

First time in Turkey, best holiday in years. Stayed at the Sarigul Appartments.

Reg and Selo are still there but the bar man is a cousin of theirs named Izit. Family run very very clean and tidy. Rooms spacious. Small but exceedingly spotless swiming pool. They are always cleaning. Reg makes a mean spaghetti bolognaise and his meatballs are excellent. Dont miss the saturday barbeque that Reg does. The appartments are situated out of the main resort up a hill. (hated the hill but good for weight loss due to excess beer drinking) Local buses run just down the hill and take you into centre of resort for about 30p.

We found the resort itself not too busy due to less holiday makers. This made the local businesses mither you a bit to come into their establishments but they were always polite. In fact I have to say the turkish people are the most freindliest and well mannered I have seen for years.

I loved it that much that I want to go back next year. Plenty to do and see. Have to say that the Sarigul was excellent even though rated a 2 star. Will definately go again. Anyone else going please send my regards to Reg.

Just got back from Icmeler. It is the second time me and my husband have been and won't be the last. We stopped in the Saragul. The apartments are in the old village, the rooms, pool, everything are very well kept and clean. We had a lovely relaxing week, wish we had booked it for 2 weeks. Reg is lovely, he can't do enough for you. If you want to be able to relax and not be in the middle of everything then this place is great, only 10 minute walk to the sea front. Some restaurants will pick you up for no charge. We are planning to go back next year with all my family. If you do go to the Saragul, reg's real chips, bread and garlic butter are a must but if you are wanting to be good then his Tuna Salads are lovely, can't complain with any of the food.

To round the Saragul up in one word i would call it PERFECT.

This was our first time in Turkey and didn't know what to expect. We stayed in Icmeler at the Sarigul Apartments,Reg and everybody were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. They make you feel at home straight away. The apartments are very clean and have everything you need. The pool and bar area are well kept and clean.
The pool party on a Saturday night is a must and the food is excellent.Mehmet the barman will serve you drinks with a smile.

The Sarigul is in the old village and is about 10 to 15 mins from the main strip and about 20 mins from the beach. Some of the bars and restaurants to visit are the Champagne Bar where Yurda,Toni and staff are brilliant. The Florida Bar also Turan and staff make you feel very welcome. Both of them do great meals.

Cheers Reg,Selo,Meryl and Mehmet for a great holiday see you next year.

this is more of away of letting people know that if you travel with goldtrail holidays be awere that what you ask for you might not get . my sister and myself book with goldtrail in july for 1week in marmaris, a.o.a.when we got there very tired after a long flight. we found we had been put in the nabouring resort of iclemer the very back of the place up a very steep hill. my sister cant walk up hills or clime stairs as she has hip problems. the apartment had no lift so we had 3 flights of stairs to get to our room. we did not see the rep the whole time we where there. we rang there office and where told to either like it or lump it. to which we where very upset at been treated like in the ten years we have been traveling to turkey. very disapointing all round.

I have been to icmeler before but always stayed near to town centre and beach. So when i found my apartment was near the old village i thought i was going to be miles away from anything. Not so-in fact we hardly left the old village area at all. The Sarigul is a wonderful place to stay. extremely clean, the rooms were cleaned nearly everyday, bedding changed every two days. And Reg and his two staff did everything giving it a personal feel like we were staying with old friends.

My daughter, niece and their husbands were in icmeler with us but stayed at the Onat they spent evereyday at the Sarigul with us.Friday night for £5 Reg has a pool party with food(the food there is exellent- dont miss the fruit salad)My daughter and niece came too and had a fabulous night its a laugh a minute. If i go back to Icmeler this year at all i will definately be staying at the Sarigul. The place is a little jewel in Icmeler.
