Was our first time in marmaris and we'll definately be back especially to the amphi apartments!! the room was all we needed n was cleaned everyday the maid even folded n put away my clothes! the bar staff were amazin!! alex ali and ali!! they are hilarious they really made our holiday with all there banter they r really good guys!jason aswell at reception was really fun!! the only thing was when we were there there was a family of 20 there who would always put there towels down at the pool at like 4 in the monin n steal the beds!! wasnt such a big deal as there are loads of beds round the pool or in the garden area!! the main strip is not far or is only £3 in a taxi but watch coz the taxi drivers try and bump you!! boat trip n waterpark r good i highly recommend!! will be back some time next year!!

Highly recommend the Amphi we had a lovely two weeks so much so we are going back later this year.The rooms were bacic but very clean all the staff were friendly and helpful.Denis the maid was a gem she did something different with your towels on the bed every morning.Alex and the lads were great they looked after everyone.

Venus next door good food while we was there it was buy a main meal get one free plus you got your breakfast free next day I can vouch for the food I am a Chef say Hi to Connie, Racheal,and Sam the Chef.We went to Andys bar most evenings they had some good entertainment on different every night.We went to the Turkish night at the hotel it was good and worth the money.If you go on the Island boat trip book on the day at the harbour most charge £10 each all inclusive but we got it for £7, a couple paid the rep £18 each a few days before they went and it rained most of the day you do not need to book there are plenty of boats going out.If you like to barter then the local market is 5min away just watch your pockets the market at Icmeler is approx 30 min away by dolmus.

All in all a relaxing wonderful holiday enjoy.

Hotel is down a side road close to the Amphitheatre. We had a studio apartment which was basically a standard bedroom (with balcony)and limited kitchen facilities. The bathroom was small, and the shower had a shower curtain and a low edged shower tray. A combination of the shower curtain and low edge resulted in the complete bathroom floor being soaked each time you used the shower. There was an air conditioning unit in the room but you had to pay extra (directly to the hotel)if you wanted to use it. The Thomas Cook brochure said that the air con would be available for about £15-£20 per week, but we found that the hotel price was closer to £70 for 2 weeks! The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is kept beautifully clean. There is a small garden area complete with swings etc. The swimming pool doesn't have a shallow end and therefore children have to be observed closely.

Dominos restaurant is very good and close by, but the restaurants down by the harbour about 20 mins walk away are generally no more expensive, have excellent food and the views are much better.

Don't book excursions with your rep, the prices are much better if you go to the local guys selling them. I would reccommend the scuba diving - it was excellent.

The accommodation- Really basic, would not have really wanted to cook anything on the plug in cooker that was there. Had a complaint at the beginning of the holiday regarding a constant whirring noise. Complained, took 2 hours and numerous different people listening to noise before we finally were moved. New room was fine. Drinks were really expensive at the bar. One toilet roll per room after that you had to buy your own. Holiday started getting better until the last night when at 01.00am we were in bed just dropping off when we had a phonecall to say people were complaining about us and that they were going to call the police. Then the same call at 2am and then 3am. Do you think they were getting us back for complaining.

Apart from that Marmaris was great, hard work at the beginning as you were constantly being dragged into bars but when you get to know how to deal with them it's fine.

Got some really good bargains, clothes were fake but some looked worse than others- just shop around. My brother is a name-freak and he can't tell the difference in the stuff we brought home.

Fridays pub- brilliant, good laugh, excellent food and really friendly staff.
Club atrium- photographer was brilliant, had 2 lovely pictures done.

Mud bath was great and have a picture to show all of our friends.

Holiday started bad and ended bad but the middle was great!

Dalaman airport- just be aware they are not as organised as us but when you finally get through passport control, english cigs e.g. landB, regal, etc are £6 per 200 and perfume is cheaper too.

Amphi appartment first time there but not the last. very clean, staff very friendly. Reccomended to the young and the old.
If your young i would reccomend the beach club, bar x and saltandpepper, very good music a good atmosphere.
