my self, husband sone aged 11, and parents aged 76 and 70 have just come back from spending half term at lykiaworld. wow, what a place!! the rooms were spacious and comfortable. we had a lovely mountain view. we asked for ground rooms , adjacent, and thats exactly what we put in. (due to grandparent with dodgy knees!). although it was a walkto the restaurant, it was a beautifully scenic one,and anyway with the fantastic food on offer we all needed lots of exercise! the staff were always polite and helpfuland there was plenty to do although we chose to relax on the beach after breakfast and go for a swim in the sea. you do need swimming shoes for this as the beach is very pebbly.we went on a nice boat trip one morning which we thoroughly enjoyed, but granma had to stay on it when we stopped off . my husband had a go on the golf course which is only 3 holes, but must be plenty in the heat of the summer, as it was just enough in the autumn sunshine, which reached 25 degrees most days. do the paragliding. its highly recommended by my husband and his dad and we only ever saw happy beaming faces, and good landings the whole time we were there. my son loved paradise water slides but it gets very chilly after 3pm in october because it is quite shaded. (this must be a god send at the height of summer!) all in all its a brilliant place , highly recommended and i just hope we can afford to go again next october.

We went to Lykia World Olu Deniz in July Of 2008. We went with our two children aged 13 & 14 and the granparents. When we first arrived at Lykia world at 5:00am we were showered in helpful assitance and were taken to our room as quickly as possible. We stayed in the residence hotel and we were very pleased with our rooms which had lovely veiws over the gardens.

The whole complex came beyond our expectations. The food was fantastic and the puddings well we couldnt get enough! We were never stuck for things to do as everyones needs were catered for. The swimming pools were great and there was plenty of entertainment for the children but if your looking for a relaxing holiday then there was nothing stopping you from taking a dip in the luxury adult only pool. And there was Just a short walk down to the stunning beach. The beach had plenty of sunbeds & parasols ice-cream and beach bars. The sea was warm and calm. The weather was always hot and on the nights we were even able to wear strappy tops! While we were there we wouldnt have known what a cloud was!

we had a wonderful time in Lykia World Olu Deniz and cant wait to go back next year!

My husband, myself and our 11 year old daughter went to Lykia World in the first two weeks of June. The weather was hot, even warm enough in evening for summery tops. We had a sea view which was gorgeous and were right above the Beach Bar, but got no noise. There are three main buffet resturants, village, residence and Marina. We went to the Marina Restuarant for lunch and dinner as it was outside and was a much better experience, in the evening you can watch the sunset while eating. It doesn't open for breakfast, which is a shame because breakfast at the village restuarant was a bit like a cattle market. Food was good, but by the third day you knew what was going to be in each section, minor changes each day, but nothing very different. Could have done with a bit more spicy food and a little less oil used in cooking. When they say there is seventeen pools, don't be fooled, some nothing more than ornimental. There are five main pools, one in village, one in residence, two adult pools and one in childrens splash area, the rest are pools were flumes go into etc. but still lovely and clean. In the main village pool was where the main activities are which were not to loud and over the top, quite funny at times. Animation team were good but didn't try to push you into anything, like in some resorts. If you are going to paraglide or do trips, book in town as they are half the price. Lykia world prices drinks in euros which is wrong as they are not in the European Market, then they are translated into lira on your bill at a bad rate it can get pricy, my advice is to keep checking your bill total at reception because you pay with your room key and it can soon billed up. Keep your receipts to verify your bills, we got charged for things out of our mini bar we hadn't used.

Just a quick heads up, after we have had been there a week a very nasty bug went around. Nearly everyone we spoke to had some members of the family that had been ill, we got it but not to bad, but some families really suffered. Even the turkish animators were getting it. Two girls we spoke to had to be taken to hospital and be put on drips, it cost them £500. Reception were brilliant, when people were ill in the night and needed beds changing, sometimes more than once, they were quick and very helpful to all I spoke to.

Having said all the above, we had a great holiday at the most beautiful place have been too.

I went March 28th for a week with my 3 year old daughter. I have been before and would not recommend going until the season starts in May. Why? well all the restaurants apart from the residence one are closed and most of the activities do not run. The numbers in the hotel the week I was there - 100 people. The hotel takes 2500 maximum so you can appreciate the ghost town feeling I had. I know others will tell you its fine but I dont think they have experienced Lykia World in full swing. My daughter often the only child in the kids club...none of the activities would go ahead as no-one to join in. The hotel is amazing and the staff fantastic but I would recommend waiting till 1st May. Unless you get it dirt cheap save your money and experience the real Lykia World when the season starts.

Went with our 2 teenagers (17 & 19) and they thoroughly enjoyed it! The only problem is you are kind of isolated and have to taxi it anywhere!! my kids like seeing the local nightlife which there isnt an awful lot of in Olu Deniz - the evening entertainment was very repetitive at the complex, but couldnt really fault anything else! Food was excellent - Marina restaurant was best - Watch out for expensive evening drinks put on your room card - bit of shock at the end of an already pricey holiday. We stayed in the village which had just had a revamp so rooms were ok - Nothing english to watch on TV - Very German there! Good holiday though.

OverallGood Resort

we went towards the end of the season and the resort was winding down - very small resort with not very much to see - I think you would have been everywhere after 2 nights.
