Been to Turkey for the last 3 years but first time in Ovacik and the Artemesia. We can honestly say this was the best, the hotel was fantastic, food great, the rooms were plenty big enough, cleaned every day, clean sheets and towels almost every day. The staff can't do enough for you, we took advantage of the free up grade to half board with staying in September and the food was plentiful and fab. Don't like going to the same place but will definately go there again. Our only complaint was the rep, never really saw her, but to be honest we didn't need her but people who did were not too happy but apart from that, fantastic!!!!!!

Overall
Not a lot happening in Ovacik, but a short bus ride took you to where you wanted to go, but it is very peaceful and not far from bars etc if that is what you want.

We were very concerned about reports we had read about this hotel but everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the setting is lovely. The staff are all very friendly and we made very good friends of them during our stay. There is plenty of choice at breakfast and dinner and had no reason to complain about anything. The hotel is situated at the top of a very steep hill but if you walk down there are always free taxis to take you back. We spoke to a lot of people during our holiday and the majority had stayed at the hotel before. There was entertainment most nights so we tended to stay there during the evening but it was easy to take a dolmus into Hisonaru or Fethiye which we did a couple of times. The day trips are very cheap and the bus service and water taxis are worth a try. We normally never book trips when we go on holiday but it was so easy to get about that even we were tempted. The pool at the hotel is lovely and there are more than enough sun beds for everyone. Clean towels most days and one day we got home to find our beds decorated with fresh flowers. This was our first visit to Turkey but it certainly will not be the last - and The Artemisia will be the first choice.

Olu Deniz beach is fabulous and really clean. Good beach facilities. Hisanoru is very lively at night with plenty of shops and restaurants. Talk of the Town nightclub is a must. Very entertaining family entertainment. Plenty of places to visit via bus ...
