We could not fault any part of this holiday we had two boys age 15 and 13 who had a fantastic time, both of them ate their body weight in food, were never bored and made lots of friends. we booked our trips through saragerme tours in the town, they were faultless from start to finish, the staff were very good with the boys nothing was any bother for them. The food was lovely every day, the dining area was very clean and we never heard of anyone unwell while we were there. The outside areas were well kept and the design of the landscaping features was well done and nice to look at. We wouldn't hesitate to go back here and do the same again.

Just got back from the Holiday Village and can say that the village itself is vast, but in October was not at capacity. The 12 pools are as good as any that I have found anywhere, from massive ones to slide pools, childrens pools and ones where adults on their own could find some peace if wanted. The gardens are immaculate and if you wwant to soak up the sun next to a Koi carp filled pool you can do that as well. We had a Jacuzzi Suite which was spacious, well equipped and spotless.

If there is a down side the village could be anywhere, except for the nationality of staff you wouldn't know you were in Turkey, this isn't a particular criticism, just a fact.

The food is clearly aimed at the british family market [chips with everything] and we felt a little more imagination could have produced meals with a wider appeal. They certainly have great produce to work with. Again to be fair, you could always find something to eat but they do have a problem keeping meals hot and we used the microwaves a lot. The Asian and Turkish themed restuarants are average and we walked out of the Italian [it was awful] a square of microwaved lasagne with no taste, saled or anything else.

the childrens entertainment is great but the rest is working mens club stuff - but being able to sit out in the open air this late in the year helped !!!

The weather is great in October, betwen 26-28 degrees, clear skies and the sun strength such that you can stay out all day, and with decent sun cream not burn. If you want a chill out holiday, with the choice of 'getting involved' in actiivities and especially if you have kids the Holiday Village is a good choice. If you are looking for a Turkisk feel give it a miss.

A couple of practical points

Whilst there is a 24 hr medical service there is no pharmacy on the complex or in Sarigerme. the nearest is a 30 minute drive away in Dalyan so take plenty of what you need because if you get 'deli beli' you will have to see [and pay] to see the doctor just to get what you can but at the chemists before you go.

Lastly there is no launderette [there is a laundry service but its expensive] so take plenty of clothes or some washing liquid.

i hope this helps

Good- Hotel clean, loads of pools, enthusiastic reps.

Bad- Too big, Nothing nearbye, big pools very busy, room stank of cigarette smoke, noisy until 1am,long ques for ice cream.

If you like the great british holiday resort youll love this place. You dont need to think for your self which may be what some want from a holiday. Meal time quite a frantic experience instead of relaxing, only one visit to the Al A Carte restaurants per visit (shame, the Italian was Very nice) There are queieter pools if you look around. We were kept up by noisy neighbours on several occassions (partying until around 2.30am) The entertainment is generally good but there is an obsession by the staff that the more noise being made by shouting, the more your level of enjoyment (not true for me im afraid).

Can i recommend it, sorry i cant. Well i can if you want to feed like cattle and stay up most of the night keeping other guest awake , then i think you'll love it.

Jeep Safaris worth doing (not made aware of recent unfortunate death of 2 guests in previous weeks, by reps, found out from other guest). Was not the First choice trip that was involved but i believe one booked locally. First choice one had seatbelts and forward facing seats. It is still one long water fight but only when vehicles are stationary.

Trip to mud baths a good day out, and as was Dalayan in the evening (nice to get away from the hordes of shoving Guests who gave the impression they hadnt eaten for days). Use the upstairs restaurant which opens half an hour later and the beach snack bars at dinner time, if you want to avoid the crowds. The facilities are much better on the Blue side (pools , cafes, theatre). This was two hotels and for some reason they still persist with a them and us with different colour wrist bands, (Blue and Orange) The pools in the Orange half were very busy.

Overall, Hotel is modern and clean but too far from anywhere and you are holidaying with half of Britain it seems.

We have just returned (06th Oct) after a two week stay after staying here the same time last year.

We stayed on the orange side this year in a jacuzzi suite as we stayed on the blue side last year.

We found the orange side was a lot quieter than the blue and also overheard someone calling the blue side the "chav side"!!

The entertainment team were fab again. The back to school show was hilarious and seeing Oli again was brilliant.

The food is good ,yes on the odd ocassion some of it is a bit cold but this is down to ignorant holidaymakers not closing the lids.

My husband did get a bad stomach for one day. We did see several people get dodgy tummy's but it only seemed to last for 12-24 hours. Myself and my kids were fine.

A bit of a tip, if you are staying on the orange side and have kids, stay by the small slide pool next to the astroturf pitch. It was quite quiet there and we always managed to get a bed no matter what the time.

The mozzies were really bad this year, they were coming out in the day time due to the occasional rain shower we had.

Sarigerme town is fab. The market is great value and if you fancy a change to the hotel go to Sarigerme Restaurant. We had a meal and stayed for the karakoe later. The reps go there on their day off. It was the best night of our holiday. They also show the football (even on the foreign channels).

We have also been to the Lanzerote and Egypt holiday village and this hotel is just as good.

I strongly beleive a holiday is what you make of it. The hotel provides you with fantastic (extremely clean) facilities, the rest is up to you. We personally made the most of it and had a fabulous time. We have met some friends for life and think our holiday was worth every penny

On boarding the coach to the hotel we were handed a package which included a letter about a vomiting virus which was going around the hotel. This made us very wary and concerned about our holiday. However throughout the two weeks none of us were affected and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself could not be faulted for cleanliness - the only dirty areas could be the toilets and occassionally around the pool. The meals were always of a good variety and even our fussy children had plently to choose from. Perhaps the only fault with the food could be that the meals could have been a little hotter, although staff were always chacking the temperature of the food containers. Service in the hotel was good. Rooms were always kept clean and the bar staff were always friendly. The hotel was located on the beach which was very near. The beach could have been kept slightly cleaner by the staff and perhaps more sun loungers could have been provided on the beach. The beach slopes very suddenly about 5 metres from the shore so it was not ideal for children, however our 3 kids had lots of fun. The entertainment staff were excellent and the kids club staff were always cheery and helpful. Our kids often went to the club throughout the day and also in the evening.

we have just returned from the holiday village two weeks we stayed well its great if you have kids there are lots of kid clubs and things going on for familys all day and into the night the entertainment team are fab and do a brill job with the evening entertainment. we had a junior suite that was lovley and modern the cleaning is fantastic and thay work very hard to keep the village clean day and night .the food is good to and the snack bar of a day is great to toasties, chips, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, and more .its very expencive in the village to buy things £14 for a blow up lilo £2 for packet of crisps but the clothes are cheap and you can barter .thay love english money we only took a small amount of lyera and i was glad.yhe mosies are a pain and i was bitten alot so take lots of bite and sting cream you will need it.the people that work in the village are very friendley and always say hello thay are always clean and well dressed and always happy to help.you get toweling robes and slippers in the suiets and you get little cards to get clean towels at the pool so you dont have to use your own there are plenty of sun beds and parasols around the pool.you cannot put you towel on the beds till after 9am and you get a bottle of water at lunch and evening dinner you can bring that out of the restrant with you. the beach is ok but the sea is very rough at times so dont let the kids go in alone.all in all we enjoyed our holiday and would return but there is nothing in sarigerma its self just a few shops and a market on a sunday so if you are looking for a family holiday without the hussle and bussel of a busy town then this is the place for you.

Me and my girlfriend went on the 18th and returned on the 25th. We were not worried about illness before we went because we knew that everything possible would've been done to prevent another outbreak. Turns out we were right. We thought the food was great all week. Sure it wasn't the best food we'd ever had but what do people expect for such a relatively cheap all inclusive holiday?

We stayed in a jaccuzzi suite which was really nice. We kne the 'jaccuzzi'was just a bath before we went so there was no dissapointment there. We loved the king size bed and the self controlled air con units were good to have. It was all very clean.

We thought that there wouldn't too many kids there beacause the school term had started but we were very wrong! Luckily the pool right next to our room was used mainly by adults so was nice and peaceful. The pool area was very clean as were the rest of the grounds. The lagoon pools were gorgeous and the gardens were amazing to.

We satyed in the tropical side of the hotel but we thought the reception area and main bar were a lot better on the other side. We were lucky if we could get a seat half the time at our bar but the palace bar was twice as big.

We went on a boat trip with basket tours who were very friendly and helpful and a lot cheaper than first choice. Boat was a bit overcrowded because everybody wanted to be upstairs but overall it was good.

Overall i'd definately reccomend the holiday.

**Warning*** do not go to this holiday village in sarigerme, turkey .. It is now under investigation for the 3/4th year running, for food poisoning etc, & unknown virus causing constant diarrhea, stomach cramps & worse! (Unbelievable this could happen but please believe me it is true .. Just research through google first & you will see for yourself) we spent 10 horrible days here after being assured by first choice before we went that there was nothing to worry about (if you speak to them even now they will deny there is a problem or anything wrong................) This all started just 36 hours ( the average time for people to become very ill ) of arriving at the holiday village, sarigerme turkey (hotel pegasos tropical on the 'orange' side) at first glance the hotel & grounds are spectacular but what lies beneath is anyones guess ! (Talk is that it was built on a swamp, but I don't know if this is a fact or not ? ) We were flown home 4 days early as both myself & my patner were so ill for 10 days with bad diarrhea & stomach cramps and feeling completely exhausted. We did not step foot out of the hotel front doors for our entire stay as we had to be close to a toilet & wouldn't of had the energy to do so anyway! There were many many other guests with the same condition, I would put the numbers over that 10 day period of at least 500 ... There is also a big problem there with children getting earache (which is being blamed on the poo in the swimming pools as people keep having accidents in because of the bad diarrhea) which I cannot comment on as I do not know any details of the earache other than there were lots of children with it ! If you are thinking of going my advice to you is do not go to this holiday village. & If you have already booked .......... Do not go to this holiday village.

this hotel is nothing special , it wasnt for me or my family by the second day we all wanted to go home , had to get up at 7:45 the latest to get a chance of getting a sunbed . It was very hot nd people just got fed up looking for a pool to swim in wen main pool gets closed because there was poo on holiday this happened twice a day sometimes .

BAR the bar staff are really fast but there was not much choices of drink . food was ok . evening meal try get there early to get warm food nd to get a bottle of water beacuse if u go in about 8:00 pm u felt unwanted nd being rushed to get out .

Cleaners work long hours nd always made beds nd changed towels the room wasnt want we wanted it was a bed short when we got there and they said they bring another bed in that night , three days later they brought a camp bed in and soon as i sat down it collapsed in the end we gived up and i slept on the floor also we had a leak in the room but that never got fixed either

"50/50 holiday ok until the bug struck!"

When I first arrived in the middle of the night the service was good the cases were taken to my room and we didnt wait too long before getting are keys. Unfortunatly we had booked a family room so it should have had a bath but we were given a disabled bathroom so the next day I had to ask for another room, with none available couldnt move rooms till the day after so we couldnt really settle until we moved.

Booked this resort (hotel) as travelling on my own with my son saw there was plenty of activities to keep him entertained and for the first 3 days that is exactly what happenened we used the childrens clubs although my 10 yr old commented is was a bit disorganised. The food was ok although the rush for the afternoon cakes was to be believed!

We reached are 4th day when my son started to feel unwell and we had an early night the next day we both came down with a stomach bug vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, servere stomach cramps and we ended up just sleeping all day the next day we were no better but made it out the room for water so asked a rep if anyone else was sick they said no, to cut along story short over the next few days asked several reps and most said there was not a problem with sickness it wasnt until the last few hours of the holiday when speaking to another holiday maker I found out the hotel was on red alert and the reps were taking details of people with D&V but you had to ask exactly for the form! So basically it was a big cover up!

Since returning home I have complained and found through another review website contact details of a lawyer which so far has had 130 people on there books with the same symptoms.

Unfortunatly my son continued to have symptoms even a week later so sent a stool sample off which has come back showing salmonella!

Tried to post it on this website but its too long!! OVERALL-

We had ok holiday nothing special, and we wouldnt go back the place is huge and there are just too many people. If you have booked dont worry make the most of everything and try to have a laugh with the entertainment team if you cant beat 'em join 'em! You will probably get an ear infection so wear ear plugs or prepare to pay £95+ to see the doctor! Watch out for undercooked food and mozzies! We found the BLUE side to be less cramped and overall better than the orange side so were happy we wernt on the orange.

We are currently waiting for results to tests to see wheather we have salmonella as 3 weeks(nearly) back I am still ill!! First choice seriously need to sort this place out!
