This hotel was not our first choice, but we were not disappointed. We used it as a base as we are regular visitors to Kusadasi and it was a cheap way to stay and revisit the resort. The rooms were ok and the staff sometimes raised a smile as we dropped in our key in a morning or collected it in an evening! It was clean and the beds/bathroom were not bad. If you want a cheap and cheerful hotel I would recommend this place. We would not worry about returning if we needed to. Kusadasi is great.

me and my mum returned from 2 weeks at the atli in kusadasi on 23rd august, and we are so miserable now that we are back as we love the place so much.
this my 3rd time in kusadasi and my mums 2nd time and since we first went in 2001 we have completely fallen for the place.

HOTEL
for the first time we stayed at the hotel atli which is right in the centre of kusadasi and was in the perfect position we had hoped for,the hotel itself is quite large and although the bedrooms are quite basic you still are made very comfortable and as we were on the third floor we had a lovely view from our balcony.

the hotel is kept very clean by the hardworking maids and the rooms are cleaned every day, the staff are so friendly and make you feel so welcome, you just feel like part of a big family, we made good friends with the staff for life, even though they work very long hours they always remain polite and very friendly, also for any young females reading they are very good looking too,

KUSADASI
the centre of kusadasi is about 5/10 minutes walk from the hotel and there are many restaurants, shops and bars around the hotel,is a good idea to check out the streets nearby as you will find loads of boutiques, cafes etc, you never know what u will find.

the centre of kusadasi really is heaven for shoppers i have never seen so many shops in a holiday resort before because what you usually see is just tacky souvenir shops, but in kusadasi there are tons of jewellers, leather, clothes shops theres just too many to mention, and exploring all the shopping streets is all part of the fun,you just dont know where to start looking, but be wanred during the day cause u get hassled quite a lot by the shop keepers who stand outside their shops, its very hard walking down a street without getting tortured by them, but just say and polite no thank you and just keep moving because they have a habit of trying to get you to stop by asking where you are from etc, but once u stop its hard to get away from them, they are never ignorant in fact just the opposite and a lot of them will invite you into their shop for a cup of apple tea and a chat, and you are soon friends for life, but a lot of people i know find the hassle very annoying, and i do too but at the end of the day these guys are just trying to make a living, and its just the way they do things.also i find walking round the streets at night more pleasant because theres always LOADS of people about and you dont get hassled really at all.

RESTAURANTS
no one will ever starve in kusadasi and thats a fact theres numerous restaurants, cafes etc both in the centre of town and in surrounding areas,
my favourite restaurants in kusadasi are the wishing well which is just around the corner from the hotel, the food is cheap and fantastic and the staff are so friendly and they dont annoy you at all, also another good one is the kalyan which is right in the centre just up from the planet yucca restaurant, the food is gorgeous and when sitting in the restaurant you feel likeroyalty cause the staff cant do enough for you and the setting is amazing and you enjoy your meal while watching the world go by while turkish music plays in the street.

turkish restaurants are very high quality and theres food to suit everyone also the restaurants are very cheap and none will break the bank.but i find it much easier to eat a proper meal in the evening asits just too warm during the day, and most other people seem to do the same.also i better mention the restaurants down at ladies beach which at night time are packed,my favourites are something else at somewhere else, the kiwi and also the sherwood, the staff are brilliant and we have made friends with them for life and they recognize us everytime we go back, thats the difference between turkey and other holiday resorts i have been too, the people here are unbelievably friendly and well mannered and you can make many many friends very quickly here, and you will remain friends forever and when you go back they never forget you, i have never been anywhere like that before, but you have to come here in order to understand, everyone i know who goes to kusadasi says the same, you will be drawn back year after year and you will never find hospitalitiy quite like it anywhere.

BEACHES
there is a town beach down at the marina on the sea front of kusadasi, which some people do use, but my favourite is ladies beach, its always crowded in high season, but its very clean and has a brillaint atmosphere as well as being a very beautfiful beach, also there loads of shops and restaurants on the promenande behind it if you need food/drink.
thers a loads of other beaches out of town that arent so crowded but i have never been to any of them as i like to stay in the resort itself

TRANSPORT
the most popular mode of transport in town is called the dolmus, these are like small minibuses that run from about 7am till midnight and they are very cheap, theres an abundunce of them and you can get on them where you want to and you can get off where you want, the dolmus station is just 50 metres from the atli hotel which i found good because you just went over and told the guys where you wanted to go and then they told you exactly which bus to get on, and from then on you knew your route.we alaws got the ladies beach one which passed the shopping area, down to the marina and then on around to ladies beach and you could just get off where you wanted for 2 people this was 2,500 milion which works out about 50p.there are loads of new york style yellow cabs in kusadasi which are good but they are metered and are quite expensive.

EXCURSIONS
good places to visit are the ancient ruins of ephesus which will take your breath away, they are not far outside kusadasi, also the house of the virigin mary is just beside there and is well worth a visit for the scenery alone
also turkish baths are quite an experience and have to be sampled at least one,but i personally wasnst to keen on the experience as it wasnt what i was expecting at all.i i thought that i was going to be pampered like a queen but theres a lot of sweat and cold water and being pulled about on a slab, and i was glad when it was over, but if u want to try something different then its probably for you,but i prefer my own bath i think,

OVERALL
to me kusadasi is my favourite holiday resort and i am addicted to it and i cant wait to get back next year, i miss our friends and the place terribly, its so beautiful, busy and friendly and i reccomend it 100%.and if you were like me and always said that you would never fancy going there,it has to be seen to be beleived i went there for the first time on a last minute deal and i am so glad i did cause i probably never would of went there.it will change your life GO SEE IT
