Even in the day the hotel had such a relaxed atmosphere you would not believe how many people were staying there.
I would reccommend this hotel to everyone

They have nearly finished the building work behind the hotel which did not spoil our holiday one bit and we were facing it!!!
The Hilton also has it's own private beach which was really nice and the sea is warm.
We went to the Burj Al Arab for a buffet dinner and we weren't very impressed with the variety of food considering we paid £60 for it, we would of prefered to pay that in our hotel for the buffet we got there. The hotel itself was really nice inside but I am so pleased I din't pay the money to stay there as it is well over the top ie prices for meals and drinks.
The Desert Safari is well worth going on when you are in Dubai and at the end you have a BBQ and there are belly dancers.
I would definately go to this hotel again.

There is alot of building work going on around the resort of Jumeirah and when you are out and about you will spot alot of cranes, but once in the hotel you would not know the work was going on. We couldn't even hear any work going on, although we did upgrade to an ocean view room, so we were not looking over a building site!
The only slight down side is that the resort is quite expensive to eat and drink, but as long as you take plenty of money you will be able to have some fantastic meals. I would recomend the Sheraton Jumeriah chinese restaurant and the Meat Co at the Madinat Jumeriah, which does a fantastic steak!
A must is to go to the Burj Al Arab for dinner. It was very expensive, but worth every penny. Such an experience!
And don't forget your credit card- you must visit the Mall of the Emirates. TAX FREE SHOPPING HEAVEN!!!!
Overall a fanctastic holiday, can't wait to go next year.

We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and did it in style.
From the moment we arrived at the airport and saw a man holding up a board with our name on, we knew we were in for a treat. We were taken to the hotel by private car. Escorted to our room on the 20th floor by an arab in full dress where upon he opened the curtains in our room and showed us the view; the Burj Al Arab. What a sight. I woke to that every morning and never got fed up with it.
Every where is so clean and friendly. You don't have to lift a finger for anything. We spent our days by the pool or on the beach. The beach beanbags are a must! We went to Wild Wadi water park. Take advantage of the early opening for hotel guests as it gets busy around lunch time.
It's a great water park!
The desert safari is great fun with good food, much more than just a safari.
The evenings were spent eating at one of the many resturants and strolling on the beach(to walk off some of the food)then up to the cocktail bar on the 24th floor for a cocktail or coffee.
The Mall of the Emirates is amazing but expensive. Worth a look. A courtesy bus takes you there and back.
Had we had longer we would have taken the city sight seeing bus (a london bus) and hopped on and off.
It was a truely wonderful week. Would I go back? Tomorrow if I could but definately in the future. The only thing I would say is that on arrival at the hotel they take a security swipe of your credit card, then you just charge everything to your room. It is easy to forget and get carried away, but hey, you're on holiday. Enjoy!!!

My wife and I have just returned from 8 nights in Dubai having stayed at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
It was a special holiday so we flew Emirates from Heathrow and landed at 7.25pm where we were greeted by the tour rep before passport control. After passport control and baggage collection we visited the duty free store and then met our chauffer who took us by limousine the 25 minute journey to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel arriving by 9.30pm
We had a room with a balcony overlooking the kiddies pool area, marina and sea, with a stunning view of the Burj Al Arab hotel. The room was quite large with nice furnishings and a good size LCD television. As well as having some 70 channels (about 10-12 English/American) the set could freely be used for accessing the internet, sending emails and playing games. Our bed was huge (over 6 feet wide) and really comfortable with a luxury quilt. The bathroom was big too with a superb walk in shower. The bed linen and towels were changed daily with plenty of shampoo, conditioner, gel etc provided. Fresh fruit was also provided daily. For once we found lots of hangers in the wardrobe and also an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. They'd also installed a digitally operated safe (no charge) and our room's air conditioning worked very well. A bonus is that the power points are 3 pin the same as in the UK.
It's a big busy hotel with over 600 rooms/suites/villas (it was full up at the time) and employs an enormous number of staff. The whole complex was spotlessly clean both inside and out. Everywhere the staff were so friendly and happy, meeting their guests with a smile and a greeting. The hotel's daily newsletter said that there were guests from over 60 nationalities staying there. At the time of our visit it seemed as if the main nation represented was Russia followed by the UK. All the signs were in English and the hotel staff also spoke good English. The hotel also delivered a free English language newspaper (The Gulf Today) at daybreak every morning.
We had breakfast on the ground floor of the hotel where there was an absolutely massive choice of food including full English, continental, stir fry, muffins, Danish pastries and a lot more.
The whole complex is quite large with an executive pool area, leisure pool, kiddies pool and a lap pool together with tennis courts and a health center that includes a sizeable fitness gym. There are literally hundreds of sun beds around the main pools and several hundreds more on the wide golden sandy beach along with lots of canvas/straw umbrellas. Staff are employed to show you to a sun bed, set it up for you and also supply huge towels that totally cover the sun bed and further towels for drying yourself. They also tour the sunbathing areas handing out free ice lollies. Around the leisure pool there were always at least 4 and sometimes as many as 6 lifeguards.
In the evenings we ate in The Dhow and Anchor a British type pub on the ground floor. The food wasn't as expensive as in the restaurants but a bottle of lager was about £4.
The hotel runs courtesy buses hourly to both the Mall of the Emirates (with the ski slope) that is about 2 miles away and Ibn Battuta Mall at Jebel Ali. Both malls stay open until at least 10.00pm daily, contain food courts and restaurants, are air conditioned and spotlessly clean.
Adjacent to the hotel complex is the Wild Wadi water theme park. The hotel staff took us there on a golf buggie. The park (which is free for hotels guests) opened at 10.00am for hotels guests, but 11.00am for the general public. Upon entry we were given towels and then had the chance to go on some of the rides and take up one of the numerous sun beds before the park became too busy. Life jackets are available and there are lots of lifeguards on duty especially around the pool with the wave machine.
We booked a desert safari trip with Desert Adventures Tourism that involved dune bashing in a 4 wheel drive Toyota. It also included a camel ride, followed by a barbecue and some belly dancing. This was a popular trip that we really enjoyed and was well organised.
Although there was lots of building work activity in Dubai, especially some 3 or 4 miles away along the coast, we saw none in the vicinity of our hotel.
On returning to the airport there was an extensive array of duty free shops.
Although this hotel was much more expensive than we normally pay it was well worth the premium. If you're looking for a quality hotel right on a sandy beach with good food, plenty of sun beds and lots of friendly staff then this could be the hotel for you.
