Well placed hotel. Bedrooms great. We arrived early before our room was ready and were offered tea/coffee and croissant etc in the Towers Lounge. Then the check in girl came rushing in to say the beverages were complimentary but we would have to pay if we ate anything!!!
Buffet breakfast was poor, some items mis-labelled, soggy/dried up food and barely warm. Service in here was atrocious. Pool excellent altho small, but as it is mainly a business hotel, it was never busy. Food from the pool bar was good quality and very reasonably priced. We stayed in the Towers so had separate check in and lounge. Drinks were free in here for a couple of hours in the evening, but is was made obvious they didnt want to give too much away. one night i asked for a glass of wine at 1805 (5 mins after free bar started) and was told it wasn't time and to wait another 5 mins!!!
Had a problem on the first night when the middle eastern man next door was partying and had to ring reception at 0430, who sent up the security guard. the music stopped but 5 mins later there was much shouting and clapping (obviously the guard had gone straight back downstairs). When i queried the charge for that nights accommodation i was met with a very frosty response and basically told it was my own fault for not calling the security back again. reluctantly they gave me 50% off that night's charge after a very lengthy argument.
be aware too, that the taxi's from the front door appear to load the fare (they think you are loaded because you're staying there) - so better to just walk down the road a few metres and hail a cab. I wouldn't go back there through choice. Everyone we saw at reception appeared to be complaining about something:-(
