have stayed at the park for 7 years and going this year 2011. its a great place for all young and old., i work as an aircraft engineer so we can go most places in the world, but the kid and my wife love it a devon cliffs. very big indoor complex so the weathers not a problem on rainy days. make sure you book silver or above for your caravan and it will be good. we stay in platnum and they are stunning private parking and outside decking, food and drink is ok on price staff are great.hope this is of help for anyone looking at staying at the park.

We had a short break at this site we booked through a owner, which was a lot cheaper than booking through private owner www.havendevoncliffscaravan.webs.com/ The caravan was away from the evening noise around the entertainment area and has sea veiws. The site is clean and well run and plenty to keep you amused on and off site.

"Dirtiest place I have ever stayed!"

Overall Hotel Rating:

Our caravan was the filthiest accommodation I have ever stayed in. On arrival we found a headlice comb in the shower. The floors were dirty, fridge full of crumbs. The sofa was coverred in hairs and crumbs and all the surfaces were sticky and dusty. It was revolting! We didn't unpack our clothes as the cupboards were dusty and dirty also. The facilities weren't much better. At the eating places tables were piled high with dirty plates and the rubbish bins were overflowing. The flooring was all sticky. The swimming pool floors and the walls of the pool itself didn't look too savoury. The beach disappeared for most of our stay and couldn't be used. It was covered with horrible seaweed as well so swimming wasn't great. We paid over £1000 to stay for a week in August and we were very, very disappointed!!!! We will never go with Haven again!

"Devon Cliffs Caravan park"

We have just got back from haven holiday park Devon Cliffs. This is a massive caravan park (staff there claimed it was the largest in Europe). We booked a standard caravan, and to be honest we were not expecting anything fancy! We were given a 3bedroomed caravan instead of a 2 bedroom- which was handy for luggage to be dumped, even if we didnt need it. The carpet looked clean for our crawling baby, but the kitchen work surfaces were grubby, and had someone elses toast crumbs on, and the fridge edges were rusty, and the fridge didnt get very cold...The bathroon was quite clean with no visable grub or limescale. We toke our own bed linnen, but i would recommend you take you own pillows and duvets as there are stains on some of the bedding they provide. It is a very hilley area, although we were lucky with the location of our caravan (my 4 year old son couldnt ride his bike) but we managed to walk to the club house/entertainment area each night unlike some other families. The entertainment area is typical cheese, but be warned you need to walk through the arcade with its millions of games machines, slots, racing games, teddy grabbers etc to get to ANY form of entertainment, swimming pool, mini golf, evening shows, and restaurants- and every evening we saw some poor parents with screaming kids wanting more money!

The swimming pool here is fab! with lots of slides, shoots, water showers etc!- but watch out for the lockers, they will not give you back your £1!!

The spa looks lovely, but we didnt use it unfortunatly.

The food hall here consists of Papa johns pizza (and you can even get it delivered to your caravan), burger king, and traditional fish and chips- so no health options, and they are more expensive than normal. We found the beach frount restaurant lovely, with good health options.

The entertainment was cheesey, and to be honnest much better for older kids than younger, the clubs run from 1-4years and 5-11years, our son was 4 and the group was too babyish for him- you must stay with your kids too. The evening entertainment was too chatty, all the kiddies were on the dance floor wanting to dance and the entertainment team ran a disney quiz, and family bingo!- we was not that impressed! Bar drinks were overpriced 1pint and a soda & lime cost nearly £6!

Mini golf was fun with 9 holes, and the indoor kids play area was handy dispite being abit rough!

The onsite shop was handy, again expensive, bread £1.35, A packet of pasta £1.65, walkers crips 65p kitkat 55p..... The onsite beach was lovely, on a steep hill so with a buggy towls, buckets and spades expect a tough walk!

I would go back here, but I would upgrade from a standard caravan, i would request a caravan near the beach or clubhouse to save the massive walk on some occasions, i wouldnt bother taking bikes, and I would take my weekly shopping from home in cooler bags! I would say older kids would enjoy this park more 6yrs+....
