"Sea Experience"

I found Sea Experience online, and they were conveniently located right at the hotel where we were staying. They also had the best package we could find at $120 for 2 dives including tank fills and equipent rental. We found out it was just the two of us diving that day, and our hats off to Capt'n Bill and his crew for still getting ready and taking us out (he said it's bad business to cancel a trip just because there weren't enough people-- before you know it word gets around and the referrals stop coming-- nice!). I had I think 2 layers of 3-5 mm wetsuits, so I was nice and warm. Had to use 10 lbs of weights though. Our first dive was at around 70 feet, and had a pretty awesome spot they called the "jungle gym". It was my first dive outside of the Philippines and without our usual dive masters. Anxiety! But I thought I should just turn my camera on-- that distracted me away from my fears and I felt much better afterwards.

I only had a few days in Miami Beach, and I am so glad I found this boat tour. It is worth the money. It was so beautiful to see Miami Beach from the water, and to learn much of it's history. I absolutely loved seeing the fabled "Stiltsville", on the way across the bay, we spotted dolphins rising. Our captain slowed and circled back so that we could all get a chance to see them. As we were watching them, one dolphin actually swam up alongside the boat and was looking at us, it was an awesome moment! Such an interesting tour, comfortable boat, sporty, and big fun, two hours flew!

We discovered this gem of a place from the Internet, and it was a reasonable walk from our hotel.

Although we had never before heard of the owner (and architect of his own place), the American painter Frederic Bartlett, he was very well known and respected in his day, selling over $60K worth of pictures in the early-mid part of the 20th century, when a dollar was worth 95 cents.

The place is obviously that of an artist, filled throughout with pictures, sculptures, beautiful metal-work doors, and more. Every room, every turn, is something new and interesting to look at.

But save time for roaming the extensive grounds, which are an oasis of beauty and serenity.

A 30 min airboat tram ride and the gator show were the best part of visiting Ft Lauderdale. For anyone who goes to the area and wants to experience gators, herons, and other wildlife up close and personal this is a really fun tour.

The guides are passionate and knowledgeable about the wildlife and the vegetation there. They truly love their home and are happy to share it with visitors. Tips are requested at each part. $10 souvenir photos and keychains are available after the boat ride. For $5 you can hold a gator and have your friends or family take your photo doing it.

The guy doing the gator show puts his hands and head inside the gator's mouth. He wrestles the gators around. He tells you all about their anatomy.

I hope you get a chance to visit. It's only about an hour or so between the boat and the show but it would make a great half day activity for those visiting the area.

Lots to do for all ages. Nightclubs for the young, beaches for the family, cafes, numerous trips etc for everyone. The type of visitor seems to depend on the time of the year. It is a cruise terminal so lots of people staying for only 1 or 2 nights. We were there during spring break so the average age was greatly reduced.

very upmarket resort, very different from orlando, the most amazing waterways, houses and luxury yachts. using watertaxis an absolute must, to see a different world..it is a clean resort and friendly. and the seascape cruise is a must do for good value, food and entertainment on board is excellent and the views looking back to the florida coastline are amazing, and the cruise only lasts about five and half hours but its a must do.and keep a look out for the pelicans.. such a nice change from magpies and pigeons. overall. we loved everything about our holiday.
