We arrived at this hotel after staying at a derelict looking motel in Kissimmee. So to us Trianon was a palace. As we were on a fly drive all of our accommodation was booked over the internet.
The accommodation was lovely. The rooms had a small balcony, not big enough to sit on, but a balcony none-the-less. Huge bathrooms with separate showers and baths and a massive king size bed with one of those matresses which mold to your body (Tempura or something?)

The hotel pool is private and soft fluffy towels are provided so you don't need your own.
The resort of Naples is very 'chic'. A place to be seen. It is full of designer shops, bars and restaurants. We found a great burger place called cheeburger cheeburger - it made a change from MacDonalds and Burger King! There's also a great Irish bar where you can sit outside and do some people watching (mainly of the eccentric locals, taking their dogs for a walk in a push chair!)

The beach is white sand with lots of crushed shells, so beware of cutting your feet. The sea is gorgeous blue, but not clear, a bit wavy and lots of seaweed, so I didn't go in. My husband thought he felt something sucking on his leg whilst in the sea... could've been seaweed, but who knows!
Saw dolphins and pelicans when we went for a walk on the pier. Nice to see dolphins in the wild.
We left Naples to travel to the Keys and en-route we stopped off at the Everglades (40 mins drive from Naples) to have a air boat tour. This cost £38 per couple for 45mins. It was only around the mangroves and not across the wet lands, but we did see lots of alligators.

Naples is great place to go if you have loads of money to shop, but could be depressing if you don't! Also great for artistic/creative types of people as there are lots of art galleries.
