"Best Western Lakeside great for base"
Overall Hotel Rating:
One of the reasons i chosee this hotel was due to the free shuttle to most resorts. However, the Seaworld shuttle leaves at 7.30 am and taking 20-30 mins to get there leaves you standing outside for 1hour!! Also the bus doesnt go to the disney waterparks so you have to go to say for example to Animal Kingdom at 9.25 and then get to a Disney resort bus stop and then another bus to the water park!! Over all the hotel was good bascic accommodation. The maid came in every day and we got clean towels daily which i have never known before and beds made although the sheets came out of being tucked in every night and the telly was thick dust. The breakfast buffet was great and kids eat free and lovely staff but evening meals menu very limited but to be honest its only a base and somewhere to sleep.

"ok"
Overall Hotel Rating:
I came to stay at this hotel with my partner recently and everything was very average. The weather was nice but the hotel was not very clean or well maintained. The staff did not really seem to care about any complaints, they gave the impression they were only there for the paycheque. There wasnt much in the way of hotel entertainment and I had to venture outside of the hotel for some entertainment which was disappointing. The beds in the rooms were very uncomfortable and I had bad back pain sleeping on them the whole time that i was there. The location was ok, near some attractions but not within walking distance to Disneyland! Overall, an ok but not great place to stay. I would not recommend it or stay here again!

"Cheap, affordable clean."
Overall Hotel Rating:
The hotel was in a good location in kissimmee orlando florida, was clean and reasonably comfortable. There was a restaurant and bar in the hotel as well as a pizza hut and swimming pool. All rooms had a tv and a fridge iron and ironing board, and bathroom shower etc. The rooms were like chalet appartments and situated in blocks away from the main swimming pool and reception area. The rooms were on two floors and other people could walk past your door in order to get to their rooms, this did not bother me but it might bother some people wanting to stay in this hotel. But overall I would stay there again as it was excellent value for money and you come to Florida to see the parks not the hotel room.

"A nice simple hotel"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We have just come back from 9 nights at the best western Lakeside. You will see a lot of varied reviews but I think what people need to remember is what they are paying for - we paid £50 a night through expedia including breakfast. For the money it was fantastic - the breakfast ordinarily was $8.99 per person - great buffet all you could eat and the chef would cook extra eggs if you wanted. The room was large very clean and they came in and serviced it every day. There were 3 pools all heated and also very clean - you would always see staff through out the day cleaning the pool and the pool areas nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone - if you are looking to pay £50 and expect a room that would normally cost you £150 a night then this is not the hotel for you. It it very much a motel but with lots of extras of a hotel ie breakfast, shop on site, Bar on site, Pizza Hut on site, golf on site.
The location on the I-92 was fantastic - you could walk to a number of restaurants and shops - disney was only 10 mins away - many of the evening shows are actually located on the I-92 so again a short distance in the car. Will be using again .... Also had free high speed wireless internet which to us was a bonus.

"Good value for money"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed here as 3 adults for the first week of a 3 week, 3 hotel holiday and overall this was the best one. Rooms cleaned everyday, helpful staff. Good location close to Disney and the amenities of the 192. Free wi-fi in rooms. For the price paid I'd certainly recommend.

"Best Western Lakeside, Orlando"
Overall Hotel Rating:
This is a very good hotel for families, the pool is lovely and the food great. We loved the grounds and found this a good central location, but be prepared for lots of traffic on the roads and therefore quite time consuming to get around. The reception staff are very helpful and the rooms are large and comfortable.

"Good value accommodation"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We stayed in this hotel for 10 nights and thought it offered good value for money - the main reason that we booked it was that it was the cheapest hotel available! The rooms were a good size for our party of 2 adults and there was a fridge and a safe in the room, both of which came in handy. The decor was a little dated and I didn't really like the floral bedspreads, but hey, you can't see them when you're asleep and on holiday in Orlando you really don't spend much time in your hotel room anyway! The location was reasonable on the 192 in Kissimmee and there were restaurants close by which you could walk to. There's also a Walgreens practically in the car park so great for picking up snacks and drinks and any toiletries.

"Spacious hotel, helpful staff"
Overall Hotel Rating:
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Lakeside for a week starting August 16th 2008. The rooms are the standard Florida 2-doubles, which was very nice and the beds were comfortable. We also had a spacious table area, desk, wardrobe and the bathroom was well designed, with a separate sink area, which made getting ready easier in the morning.
A hurricane/tropical storm hit on the third day of our holiday, which was very disappointing as we were stuck in for 3 days :( but the staff kept us very well informed. They were also very helpful when I had food poisoning in sorting out the clean up.
As everywhere in Florida, you need a car, but there are a few nice restaurants in the area that are easily walkable. The Denny nearby is very clean, good food and the staff helpful. The Taco Bell is great for late night snacks!

"Orlando August 08 "
Overall Hotel Rating:
My family & I have just returned from a fortnight in Florida. For our first week we stayed at the Best Western Lakeside. The hotel itself was fine. Our room was cleaned everyday. We never ate at the hotel so I cannot comment on the standard of the cuisine. However the location is good & there are restaurants aplenty nearby. Good location too for all the parks - Disney is very close by. My children enjoyed the pool - which seemed to get crowded early evening & was still busy at 10pm... Staff weren't particularly polite or helpful on the front desk & the service in the cafe was dreadful (& that wasn't even to order food or a drink but to get some info on what they offered!). There was a bus shuttle service that ran from the front of the hotel to the parks - we had a car so never used it, but it is possible to stay here without a car. All in all it was an average hotel, & on a par with hotels we've stayed at previously in Orlando. Probably wouldn't stay here again. But if you want a cheap hotel close to the action, it does the job.
