Flying with travelcity is an experience.
check-in in the railway station takes at least 2 hours as only 2 desks were open for a jumbo, despite prebooking.
Aircraft was very old and noisy, we had the pleasure of sitting next to the toilets both ways with an airfreshner.
The children were bored.Having flown with virgin the year before the inflight entertainment system was no where near as good, at least it got us there and back.
Dollar car hire very pushy for you to upgrade.

This was our first time to america in september 2005 and we loved every minute of it.This was the best hotel we have ever stayed in, which made our holiday even better.

We paid the extra for the crowne plaza because there is nothing worse than paying cheap and having a grotty hotel, even though you spend most of the time out it is nice to know your going back to luxury.

The hotel is kept to a high standard and is very clean, the hotel pool is heated and clean and also has a jaccuzi.and gym, and they provide clean towels to use around the pool.

The staff are very friendly and helpfull, and the location of the hotel is ideally centrally located for all the theme parks, and you can walk to wet and wild.if you hav'nt hired a car a bus will take you free of charge.
I would recommend you hire a car because there is lots to see and do outside orlando and there are lots of shopping malls.

The hotel beds are very comfy. the room has blackout curtains, and you are given an eye mask ,ear plugs, and a relaxing cd so you can have a good nights sleep. The room also has an alarm clock/ cd player and a coffee machine which coffee is provided daily. you also get an in room safe which is free of charge.

It has a cafe, shop, and restaurant also a laundry which you can purchase washing powder to wash and dry your clothes for a small fee.
so there is a good choice of food, if nothing takes your fancy there are lots of restaurants, cafes and shops in walking distance.

The only bad point in the hotel was the air conditioning was a little noisy but we did'nt have it on much anyway.

We loved this holiday and we will certainly be staying in the crowne plaza again, I would personally recommend you to stay there.

This was my first visit to Orlando-what an amazing place!

We booked the Crowne Plaza Hotel through Travel City Direct and we were not disappointed. The pictures of the hotel do not do it justice. The rooms were very spacious and were cleaned every day of our two week holiday. The pool area was small but we always managed to get a sun lounger-there is so much to do in Orlando though that you really dont spend much time at the pool. The staff were friendly and attentive and there is an on site shop and pizza place. The location of the hotel is ideal-a five minute walk from International Drive and the heart of the action.

We booked the car as part of the trip but in the end decided not to use it-the I-ride is a regular service up and down International drive and Taxis are cheap.

We booked the 5 park, 14 day Orlando Flex ticket which cost about £110-I would recommend you buy this if you intend on visiting any more than two of the parks. It gives you the freedom to come and go as you please.

Seaworld was tremendous-the shows are excellent, definately worth a visit or two(their nightime shows are worth seeing). We also went to Universal Studios-by far my favourite park-the queues moved quickly despite it being quite busy in the park. Go see the Shrek show and speak to Donkey afterwards-very amusing!

Busch Gardens was good too- we got the free shuttle bus from Seaworld. The journey to the park was about 1.30-2 hrs from Seaworld though so be prepared.

We also swam with the dolphins at Discovery Cove-an amazing experience and well worth the money.

We made our way to Disney one day and paid into the Majic Kingdom. I think everyone in the whole of Orlando had the same idea that day! The park was sooo busy and the heat was scorching-well into the 90's. The queues were a nightmare-over an hour for most rides. The queues were so long they snaked out into the open of the park, meaning that you were standing in the scorching sun until you reached the inside of the ride-not good. After two or three hours, we gave up and made our way back to the hotel.

Places to eat-Ponderosa, Golden Corral, Denny's, TGI's and the Hard Rock Cafe were all excellent. The Ponderosa and Golden Corral are buffets-so much choice, its hard to know what to go for next! I found the price of food to be really cheap around $20-$40 for dinner for two on average, including drinks.

I almost shopped till i dropped-take an empty suitcase for all those bargains.

I tried to book the Crowne Plaza again for October this year but it is fully booked until mid January 2006 (sob...now i have to wait till Jan to go). If you plan to go here, make sure you book well in advance...

Overall, the best holiday I have ever been on-can't recommend it enough.
