"Sheraton Safari Hotel, Lake Buena Vista"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We had a lovely time at this hotel, the room was huge with animal themed covers on the bed which my daughter thought was great. The food at the Monkey Bar which is by the pool was great, a good choice and reasonably priced. The beds were lovely and comfortable and huge. The swimming pool was a big success with our children, especially the waterslide and we had a great time unwinding here after busy days at the theme parks.

Overall Hotel Rating:
stayed in a safari suite in may 2009 location is great easy to get to parks rooms are well layed out with separate living room but decor is dull ,walls are marked and grubby, paint on bathroom ceiling was pealing off air con unit was like a tractor passing throu room every time it started up,not what we expected from a 4 star hotel,on the up side rooms were made up each day with clean towels etc and kids loved the pool but will not choose this hotel again

"Sheraton Safari Hotel, Lake Buena Vista"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We stayed in this hotel in April 2008. It was our first trip to Florida and we went for this hotel for the location - it's just a 10 minute drive from all the fun of Disney. The location is fantastic, but the hotel itself was dirty and very uncomfortable. We booked a suite with 2 double beds in one room and a roll out bed in the living area. Doors were hanging off the kitchenette, the kids white socks were black within minutes of wearing them around the hotel room, the air conditioning was ancient and noisy. On top of this, staff were forever knocking on the door to clean the room even when asked first thing not to bother. On the upside, they have a fantastic pool and the food is good. If, like us, you are used to 4* hotels in this country, stay well clear of the Sheraton Safari.

Overall Hotel Rating:
My boyfriend and I have just returned from two weeks in sunny Florida. Our hotel was absolutely fantastic and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the suites which was really spacious and very clean. Another bonus of the hotel was that they baked complimentary cookies everyday for the guests.....mmmm. The location was amazing and the hotel provided free shuttles to all the Disney parks and for the price of parking your car, a shuttle to all other parks and attractions. Discovery cove and Sea world is a must along with Universal. All you can eat buffets and pitchers of beer a plenty!!!! City Jazz in City walk Universal is fantastic!!! There are plenty of great eateries within walking distance of the hotel, The olive garden, Chilies and the hotels own restaurant menu and food rivaled any 5*!! Overall, A brilliant stay. PS. Go to parks first thing in the morning as by early afternoon they really crowd up. We must go now to the gym and work off all those cookies and racks of ribs!!!( Colin practically ate the equivilant of four cows!!!) Will book again for next year.

"Sheraton Safari / Clearwater Beach Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed in Safari Suite which was well worth the extra £350 as it provided us with a lounge area with TV, small kitchen area with fridge and microwave and dining area. Maid service was excellent - beds made every day, clean towels, shampoo, soap etc.
Breakfast in the hotel excellent value - kids eat free with paying adult. Buffet style -everything from cooked breakfast to pancakes and syrup.
Plenty of good value local restaurants.
Sizzlers just to the right of the hotel excellent breakfast buffet and dinner buffet in evening.
Other great restaurant include CC's Pizza which the kids loved. Four of us eating for $20 including refillable drinks. (Ask at Reception in Hotel for money off vouchers). Chilli's was also another great eating place - there's loads to choose from within walking distance.
Disney was amazing - kids loved Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom best - rides are just out of this world! Blizzard Beach was amazing. Sea World amazing! MGM amazing! Epcot amazing! Seeing is believing. Bought Disney passes in UK via website (on-line florida.co.uk) saved £100 per family of four.
Didn't hire a car-hotel provided bus service to all disney parks. Once in Disney use Disney transportation to take you anywhere within Disney. Wouldn't bother hiring a car unless going further afield. Taxis reasonable too.
A fabulous holiday - can't wait to go back next year! Would certainly stay at the Sherton Safari again.

Overall Hotel Rating:
arrived at sheraton safari 23rd march 2007. hotel lovely room big with 2 double beds. pool open until 11 o clock. the hotel was always clean and staff friendly but carpets could do with changing. we had all you could eat breakfast for 10 dollars child ate free. it was lovely with plenty to keep any family happy. we loved it there. went to every theme park there hectic but loads of fun. we saved loads of time going in the que,s by going on single riders. instead of 75 mins it took 15. as long as you dont mind sitting next to a stranger for about a min. sea world was brill thought we would only be a couple of hours but we were there all day.if you hire a car or jeep as we did , hire a sat navigation , well worth the money. one wrong turn without one and you end up miles out of your way.if you can go to downtown disney,we went to disney quest and had loads of fun!! you just have to go to rainforest cafe it was brill, the food was out of this world, and you have to see the animals inside.go find out.!! make sure you book early, we booked early and had to wait until 10.50 to get in.but well worth the wait. my son loved blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon water parks. the only thing is you are allways queing.

"Sheraton Safari / Clearwater Beach Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
We stayed at the sheraton Safari hotel in lake buena vista, florida in july 2006.
The hotel was fantastic, beds and towels changed daily, rooms cleaned daily and left smelling fresh amd clean, standard size rooms had two queensize beds which where very comfortable after a long day at one of the many parks !, tv had a great range of chanels for both adults and children. at the end of every hallway there where drink and snack machines as well as ice machines which came in handy .
We where worried before we travelled that as we hadnt booked a hire car we would struggle getting to and from places, this was not the case at all as the hotel have free disney busses on every day, and even if you dohnt get the right disney bus fron your hotel then you can jump on any and then change busses onto another free bus at the disney gates ! if you wanted to go to a none disney park then the hotel still offered shuttle busses for a very good price , again they where frequent and easy to book.(famlily staying at another hotel whoi had a hire car actually ended upo walking to our hotel and getting on the free disney shuttle busses with us as it was expensive to park your car in the parks on a daily basis!!!This hotel was in the right location it wasn't to near (so that it was too noisy) but not too far away either. within walking distance there are several shops and eatery's all good value for money but our favourite was the Angus house of beef, and also the black angus a must if you love steak !
We fully recommend this hotel and the area, infact we are going to book again for next year we loved it that much ! (one final top tip, if at the end of your holiday you still have some days left on your theme park tickets then we found insidethe sizzler restaurant (right next door to the hotel), they had a ticket desk and they will buy them back off you !).

Overall Hotel Rating:
This hotel was fantastic, we had a suite which was a nice size, with a sofa and chair, sink, coffe machine and a little fridge freezer. It was clean, the beds where comfortable, the sheets where clean, the towels where white and the shower was a shower and not a dribble!!!! The maid cleaned every day, our six year old loved the pool and the python slide. Lake Buena Vista is not so built up, but still has a good selection of restaurants that you can walk to. We stayed 8 yrs ago at International Drive, so we had a drive over to see if it had changed very much. It had, it was busy, busy, busy, which is fine if you like busy , but we likened it to what we would imagine Blackpool to be like. This hotel was about a 5 minute drive from Sea World and a 10 minute drive to the Walt Disney parks...fantastic!!

Overall Hotel Rating:
Just got back from the Sheraton Safari and had an absolutely wonderful stay here. We couldn't fault the hotel from beginning to end. The staff couldn't do enough for you, the hotel was very clean and the beds and pillows were extermely comfortable.
The location of the hotel is excellent. You are a five minute drive form Disney and about a 15 minute drive from Universal and Seaworld. You are within walking distance of lots of great restaurants ie The Olive garden, Black angus, Macarroni grill, Chillis and many many more. If you want an extra special meal have a walk down to Pebbles which is located at the Crossroads (just a short walk away) The service and food there was superb.
After staying at Disneys Fort Wilderness resort last year (which cost a fortune!!) We enjoyed this stay much more.

"Sheraton Safari / Clearwater Beach Hotel review"
Overall Hotel Rating:
Stayed at this hotel for the first 2 weeks of a 3 week holiday in Florida. (See also our review of the Sirata hotel at St Pete's Beach.)
We couldn't have been more pleased with the Sheraton Safari. The rooms were clean and well specified. We had hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee machine, TV. There is a launderette.
The beds are exceedingly comfy!
It is situated about 4 miles from the Disney attractions and is handy for everything else, being next to the I-4 highway.
The hotel provides free transport to all the Disney attractions with about 3 or 4 buses each way each day. They do not provide transport to the other attractions, however.
If you go to Disney, use their Photopass system. This is free of charge and you get a card which you give to any of their photographers (there are loads around - all have high spec Nikon digital SLR cameras) and they will take your photo (useful if you want all your party in the photo). You can then view your photos either at the photoshop at the attraction or on the Disneyphotopass.com web site for up to 30 days. You can, if you wish, buy any of the photos for about $13.
We went last week in September and the queues were fine. Never queued more than about 30 mins and most had no queues.
Did the Universal Studios Halloween, and not sure if it's worth the extra money.
The Epcot International Food and Wine festival in October and November (in it's 10th year this year) is definitely worth going to. They have free food and wine tastings and seminars and others which you have to pay for. We had a great time getting drunk on free Aussie wine!
Virtually everything in the US is very cheap (exception is alcohol). Don't take many clothes with you, buy new while you're there. Some of the bargains are unbelievable.
Booked through Travel City Direct who seemed OK (although they make you use an expensive 0870 number once you have booked your holiday if you want to contact them). Flew with MyTravel. The flights were great, with no delays and reasonable food.
Car hire was with Dollar (booked through Travel City Direct) and again, no problems.
