Went to Massachusetts to visit daughter in Salem. The hotel was a motel on outskirts of Salem. Clean, very large room and inexpensive. Opposite a Dunkin Donuts (nice for breakfast) and a couple of restaurants.

Went to Massachusetts to visit daughter in Salem. The hotel was a motel on outskirts of Salem. Clean, very large room and inexpensive. Opposite a Dunkin Donuts (nice for breakfast) and a couple of restaurants.
15 Mins walk from centre of salem (no problems in walking day or night). Salem is very ";witchy"; as my daughter puts it. Witch items, museums etc everywhere.
Recommend Reds in the centre for brekfast, Vast amount and cheap.
Did a trip to Boston on Salem Ferry which is a fast catamaran.
Went to Gloucester for a whale watching trip. Thoroughly recommended, saw many Humpbacks, Fin whales and Minke.
