Hotel was recommended by friend and we were well impressed when we arrived. We were treated very well on arrival and throughout the duration of our stay. The room was a good size with 2 double beds, one with a firmer mattress than the other, nice bathroom, and small kitchette with coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. Large TV and air conditioning as well as a safe. The view from the large window looked out over the rooftops and was amazing, especailly at night.

The location of the hotel was excellent, a mere 2 minutes from Times Square. We spent the whole 6 days walking, so remember to take comfortable shoes or buy them when you get there! We done all the usual stuff, but I loved Central Park the most, I had no idea it was so huge and it was lovely to go and relax there after spending so much time at the shops. We hired a rowing boat and spend a couple of hours just rowing around and people watching. I have to say that I was a little disappointed in the shopping, yes there are loads of great shops but as we live near a designer outlet at home, I didn't think that I got that many bargains in New York. There are loads of great places to eat and you can get anything you want. The Original New York cheese cake is a must, we couldn't get enough of it! We used the subway to get about too and went on the Statten Island Ferry (which is free) to get a good view of the Statue of Liberty.

I could go on for ever, it was one of the best holidays ever and you really must just go and experience it for yourself.

Travelled to NY for three days after week in Disney.

Hotel was fabulous. Everything expected of NY and then some. Staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful.

Only gripe would be that try getting a lift on day of checking out with six large cases was a nightmare!!

Two minutes to Times Square, 15 from major attractions like Central Park and Empire State Building.

Go on all loops tour, costs $49 per adult and $39 per child. Gives you all of NY in a few hours. Start point was round corner from hotel.

All different types of eats within minutes of hotel. We found a fab cosmopolitan deli eatery on 8th street where you could get anything you wanted and the staff were excellent, even suggesting only ordering an adult meal and giving an extra plate to share with kids. Alcohol was not cheap, though.

Three blocks up there was a great bakery shop for morning bagels and they sold danish pastries to die for!!

All in all NY is a fab place to go with plenty to see and do. Broadway and Times Square at night is a MUST.

Our first trip to USA and New York and we weren't disappointed.

Hotel found after surfing internet. Good sized room for four of us (two double beds), adequate bathroom and a small kitchenette with coffee making, fridge and microwave. Large TV and air con in room. Overall the Hotel did not disappoint. Very friendly staff who were more than happy to help in any way. Excellent location - 2 minutes from Times Square. Spent a very hectic and busy six days doing all the usual stuff - Empire State Building, Central Park, Statue of Liberty - but still lots left for a second visit. PS - Take a spare holdall THE SHOPPING IS FAB!!!!! Macys offer overseas visitors a discount card (11%) which cancels out the sales tax and offers another small amount off. Get it from the visitors centre. (The only gripe about the whole break was the fact that myself and my son came down with really bad colds/coughs and only wanted simple food - you try getting ";simple"; food in New York!!!!!!!)

Would not hesitate to recommend New York or the Belvedere Hotel.

I have just returned from New York and had the pleasure of staying at the Belevedere Hotel. The location of the Belevedere is great - 3 mins walk to Times Square and 15 mins to Macy's/Empire State Building or Central Park/5th Ave. Rooms were spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff could not do enough to help you and the concierge service is very good. Would not hesitate to recommend the Belevedere and would certainly stay there again if I get the chance to visit NYC again.
