absolutely adored new york going back next year for 10 days as we missed so much first time round. Hotel very nice no problems encountered at all. room very small compared to other hotels eg. Las Vegas, San francisco but on the whole we were only sleeping in it so we weren,t too bothered.Didn,t use restuarent facilities as we were too busy exploring and had to have something too eat before we ended back at hotel as we were quite late what with all the shopping we had to do,If you are a make up lover like me and love benefit make up go to sephora in times square you,ll be amazed at prices especiaLLY with the exchange rate. room was very clean fresh towels every day and toiletries so you really do not need to take any,if you use ghd straighteners they will NOT work here in new york. they worked in las vegas but not here or san francisco.Good luck if you are going

Hotel was excellent, staff are very freindly, and cannot do enough for you.
Offer could advise on places to visit.
and 24/7 service.

Hotel offer safes free of charge and are located in reception, in a dedicated room.
No problems sleepig at night, no noise from the rooms at all.
Rooms very kept clean, and comfortable.

Only 5-10 minutes walk away from Times Square, Empire State and Macys

Rockefeller Centre

Shopping is Brilliant Macys is very good
Spent all day shopping in there.
Bloomingdales is also worth a visit.

Booked a day trip to Woodbury Common designer outlet about 1 hour drive from New York $37.00 each and well worth it.
i reccommend this to anyone.

Also you must do the open top sightseeing bus hop on hop off tour 2 days for 49$ and well worth it includes downtown and uptown lops Broklyn Lop and also a Night tour. Excellent do it !!!!!!!!!
You can book this with your hotel or plenty of people selling the trips on the Times Square.

Flight from Manchester, was great so nice to go from a local airport, and not have the hassle of Heathrow. Taxi into the city not bad value as price fixed, But you have to pay tolls and tip. Comeback to the airport on the subway and skytrain only $12 for two which is great value.

On first sight the hotel looked like the Munsters weekend place, but was excellent.
Friendly staff, convenent location and quiet at night. Takes about ten minutes to walk to time square.
The view from the top of the empire state building is fantastic. Go up just before sunset and stop and watch the city light up.

Buy you tickets for this before travel as then you wil miss some (not all) of the queue.
Make sure you have eaten before you go up as there is nothing at the top except for expensive choc bars.
If you wont a real night to remember go on a dinner cruise, we went on the bateaux one which is brillant, the meal is great live music and the sights all light up in front of you, The highlight of our fab visit.
We did many other things such as bus tour,Central park,Theatre to spamalot (what a laugh), Shopping
like Florida more for this. . Also can recomend Uncle jacks steak resturant, Not cheap but the best steak I have ever eaten.

Overall a wonderful few days and wish we could go back right now.

Hotel Jolly Madison Towers - New York

Accomodation was excellent.literally round the corner from the Empire State building.

The hotel was about a 10 minute walk into the centre of NY .

The hotel was spotless and nothing was to much trouble staff are on reception 24/7 .

We found the hotel to be in the perfect location as we had no trouble sleeping of a night we had other family that had travelled out before us ,that had stayed in the centre of NY and had been unable to sleep because of the noise.

The Taxi ride from jfk was about 35mins and cost $65 including tip.

We visted many sites -

Statue Of Liberty
Ground Zero
Central Park
Empire State

All of the above are a must see , if you are travelling with children we would recommend Madame Tussauds.

Toys R Us - Is ther cheapest plays for childrens toys and F.A.O Schwartz is the most expensive but its worth a look as the piano out of the film big is in there and the children can have a go of it.
